    +1 for ACE Hardware. Their focus on the long forgotten practice of great customer service is something the other players in the industry should learn from.

    Even though I don't have a van or any need to carry rotopax (at least at the moment), I just loved this video! Smart and super cool Chris!

    Just a quick tip, Don't crank down too hard on the rotor packs mount where they contact the pack itself. If the tanks expand like they did on mine and you don't get around to relieving the pressure, sometimes they will crack right where they come in contact with the pack.
    I learned this the hard way when we had a sudden drop in atmospheric pressure and a rise in temperature and before I could get out there to relieve the pressure they actually cracked the tank 🤦‍♂️
    On the plus side roto packs honored the warranty and sent me a new pack! Now that's customer service 👍🏼

    “overland chic”😂 I used to carry two 5-gallon Jerry cans, filled with gasoline, on the back of my JKU Rubicon. I carried them everywhere. My wife would just shake her head at me and say “when are you ever going to need those?” 😂

    I can't remember if he he has a video specifically about it but Jason with Primal Outdoors has a spare tire chainsaw mount for his gas powered chainsaw that seems to work great

    Just before you whipped out the chainsaw, I thought to myself “wouldn’t that be cool if he used the chainsaw to cut the HDPE?” Lol!

    looks like a piece of 4" schedule 40 pvc pipe or conduit would provide the spacing and neccesary strength for your use, without the HDPE barstock. Love your presence in my life, Chris. From a 70 year old guy known to have slept on the roof of his suv in his driveway using a walmart 4x8 tent, thanks to you.

    Spilled a lot of fuel using those Rotopax spouts. Found normal no hassle spouts to replace the wacky ones that came with Rotopax containers.

      Don't forget to take off the muffler and check the screen behind it, sometimes it will plug up from oil and carbon deposits, most people don't think about it but it will have a no start or run badly if plugged. Keep on keeping on love your channel ❤

    Good job. I have one on the side of my motorcycle. I got a TW200. It doesn't hold much gas but I have a small one that holds a gallon and makes a whole different. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦

    Have you ever had a problem with the Rotopax not fitting on their mount...the slot seems to have a bulge in the middle that isn't quite wide enough to easily slide the Rotopax on, and especially off.

    • @venture4wd
      @venture4wd  8 месяцев назад

      No, but it’s brand new so I suppose we’ll see. I am one who DOES want the fit to be extremely snug, though, so unless it becomes impossible I don’t think that’ll be an issue for me, personally.
