He made a really great point with Sprint Cup drivers racing in the Xfinity Series.

He definitely does. Consider the disaster truck race from Daytona this year and the lack of vets in the field.

I've been saying that for years! Plus it added asses in the stands.

As an Earnhardt fan I loved the whole rivalry between Gordon and Earnhardt and to see Dale Sr teaching Gordon how to race was cool

Old IronHead Earnhardt used to really rag on Gordon and any other new driver who wasn't from Old Dixie. But he came to like and admire Gordon and his incredible talent.

@frankcastle5294 Jeff Gordon never raced Ralph Earnhardt. Ralph's nickname was "Ironhead." Dale Sr was "intimidator."

@sergeantmasson3669 Dale won more championships. When the 3 and the 24 competed against each other, the 24 dominated Winston Cup racing.
Dale Earnhardt didn't intimidate Jeff Gordon. Yes, Rick Henderick cheats. Richard Childress never cheated. 😉

@@joecron5745 Gordon and his crew chief. Evernham, often cheated as did Johnson and his crew chief Knaus. Such examples are well documented. No proof that Dale Earnhardt Sr ever cheated in NASCAR. Even Richard Petty got caught cheating in NASCAR a few times.
