Downtown is good for budget
get an apartmen, supermarkets are cheap , locations great and with a bus for (12 mxn each way) 1 USD u can go to every beach in like max 15min
compared to hotels u can save a lot

If that Mexican restaurant is what I think, it’s called Mexitreme. It’s an excellent restaurant. Great food and huge margaritas. The waiters pile them up to three on their head and dances with them up there. The prices are a little less than the states. I recommend that restaurant. Fun atmosphere. I was there 8/2024.
It's hardly the heart of Cancun. It's effectively still the tourist zone.
There are many nice restaurants with a great and tasty food in downtown,but defenetily not in that area where you went to. You guys have visited the worst places in downtown.😂

Ooo enjoy! Defo safe! We didn’t see or feel threatened in anyway and would take kids there is we had any haha

How safe would you say it is for 3 women? During the day and at night. None of us speak Spanish
Safe I would say! Everyone was very friendly and we didn’t get any bad vibes. I would travel Mexico again with just friends and not be worried ☺️

@@AbbyandGaz i just never understood that corn with mayonaise and chilli powder....I used to go to mexico 20-30 years ago and it was the same...just give me some melted butter, salt and pepper lol

I Didn't like downtown, Its dusty and dirty, very bored and ordinary, very disapponting for any tourist, very expensive and unsafe 😒

It's not sweet corn..it's Mexican White corn...you have to add some lime juice,dry chili powder and more of the bottle condiments to make it taste really good..

@@AbbyandGaz The real local Cancun is Mecardo 23 area,short walk from The ADO bus station,not known to many tourists which is a good thing...I visit Mexico 3-4 times a year for the last 40 plus years,will be in Isla Mujeres and Cancun again next week,3rd trip for the year..It's only a little over 1 hour flight from Orlando..It take a few visits to really know any area well...
