Stick to being different. The rotating bezel and round shape looks sharper and has a stylish appeal. I am always receiving compliments about my Samsung watch. I don't think I will be upgrading to this. SAMSUNG Bring back the round design and rotating bezel😢

The bezel better rotate or else this was a huge mistake. Should have gone with a square screen or kept the rotating bezel. The UI needs to change for square screens as well.

Bring back thr gear S design. If your going to go square you need to do bigger so it's not copying apple.
Samsung has produced square or rectangular watches before Apple did. If anything Apple copied Samsung's design.
Likely going to cancel my pre-order - thought the bezel rotated. That's a deal breaker for me as prefer the bezel vs the screen. Bummer

My problem is; How can you call it the ultra when it's the same size as the watch 6 classic? I have a huge problem with that. Well, we already know that the apple watch ultra 1,2,3 is better than samsung smart watches & I am a Samsung galaxy user.
Apple Ultra 2 is indeed the best smartwatch with a very ugly design.. I'm wearing a Samsung watch 6 Classic 47 mm right now and have as second device the Apple Ultra 2..
Just found out that galaxy watch 7 ultra is without rotating benzel... That is the reason I hate my Galaxy watch 5 pro... I can't use it anymore...Cant disable alarm in bed, cant rotate when in watter... cant easy turn of calls... JUST SUX... They can make watch with 1 year of battery life, 100* more accurate senzors... But without rotating benzel it SUX
If it gives 3x more battery, 2x faster CPU, and more functions such as energy level, sleep apnea and blood sugar, then it is worth considering.
That new Ultra watch 7 design is simply just not attractive! Why not just make it round or ALL squared? I would have given it a chance if it has a rotating bezel.. did they NOT learn from all the people that skipped the 5 due to no rotating bezel !!? You now take a feature away and increase the price ... ‼️

There is no rotating bezel because that compromises the watch from being as rugged as possible
I ordered one, but I still think the rotating crown should have been able to manipulate the UI if they were going to remove the rotating bezel.

same thing for the samsung watch, most of the features cant be accessed without a samsung phone
Samsung Health App is the main one which you can use to make a full use of galaxy watch.

I think the new leaked design is stupid. The round design was very nice imo but they want to pretty much copy the ultra
If they didn't change the design, you will say there is no innovation and their selling the same product every year. If they change the design, you will say they are copying another company
Copy the ultra? Samsung gear s was launched 1 year before the apple watch with a square display so samsung was first yet again. And would love for samsung to bring back the Gear S line with todays firmware!

Iv come from s24 ultra and watch 6 classic and buds 2 pro to iPhone 15 pro max Apple Watch Ultra 2 and air pods pro 2 and won’t ever go back to Samsung
No smartwatch comes close to the Apple Ultra 2. I have my doubts about whether the Samsung Galaxy watch 7 Ultra will change this. But we'll see.

Samsung, How did you screw this up so badly!! The design is pretty bad. NO ROTATING BEZEL!!! You didn't learn from the last time you removed the rotating bezel. No sale for me. Maybe I will Switch to Apple. What a Mess!!!

There is a regular version with rotating bezel etc. Not everyone likes the rotating bezel. Feels cheap to me and if you work in dirt environments for example the rotating bezel is garbage.
@dusty0924 samsung should've gone square with the screen but didn't have the energy to change the UI. Big mistake if it is true that the bezel does not rotate. Not many people will be buying this Ultra watch now.
