      to Farmer WE,
Taiwan is very fortunate to have inherited the military of the KMT, for better (which kept the CCP at bay from overtaking), or worse (worse being that the white terror and tyrrany of the past that KMT brought upon the original inhabitants whose ancestors lived on the island prior to 1949). Sadly, Hong Kong never had a standing army and always at the whims of the occupying foreign government. Nevertheless, hang in there, we'll have to hope that CCP collapse eventually, but this would require assistance from the entire world by cutting off economic ties. Wishful thinking? I hope not. Cheers 🍻

Nice vid Prozzie. I like the mountains in the distance. For Westerners, if you want to support Taiwan in a more proactive way, buy less made-in-China products and vote against pro-China politicians in your country because doing so would get more bullets and missiles for Beijing. Laowhy86 is great. I would also like to recommend a channel called "想做教育家的Klaus". That guy, Klaus, used to be a Little Pink (nickname for Chinese nationalist) but not anymore. His clips supports CC English subtitles and discusses countermeasures against the often nonsensical CCP-educated Chinese are. Klaus also offers four or five footages on each and every fact about China's false and baseless claims of Taiwan being part of it.

As a Hong Konger, I must say you have a very very thorough understanding of Chinese history, culture, the "real" values and thoughts of the people in China (not CCP, but China and Chinese), even better than many other people in HK and TW.
My advice for TW and the free world is, you have to prepare for war though its unlikely as its too risky for the Chinese regime, but the infiltration in different aspects is real, WHO is a good example, and oversea Chinese students, immigrants and businessmen are influencing the politics in the west as well therefore it is not a threat that is far away on the other side of the planet.

As a German I seem to have a better understanding of Chinese history than you.

The British were the bad guys in other colonies but not really in HK, at the end of a century of the British rule HK was one of the most free society in the world.
The word propaganda is exclusively for authoritarian nations like China, you have got a free internet, media from left to right and from public to private in the west, if HK people are being propagandized, then what about the Chinese who are feeded with news from the CCP as the single source?

@@KururuW Because I already have a headache from all the idiocy in the world, I will try to just ignore the cringey stupidity of claiming the existence of protests does in any way indicate lack of indoctrination, when in fact it could indicate the opposite, but of course if someone is a western-indoctrinated muppet, they could not derive that from watching the news.
Germany doesn't have true freedom and democracy. We have post-war rule, somewhat comparable to the phony independence of ex-colonies in Africa. ... Or Hong Kong. 😏
      *German Basic Law(!) article 146:*
*"This Basic Law, which after the completion of the unity and freedom of Germany is valid for the whole of the German People, will lose its validity on the day that a Constitution takes effect that was agreed upon in free decision by the German People."*
But almost no German knows about that article and the intention to replace post-war rule with a People's Constitution as soon as all German people are reunified. Because we are NAZO-indoctrinated and thus shall not know that we were supposed to be self-determined.
There was a concerted re-education campaign in Germany by the Wild West that was and is comparable to what the CCP is doing. Cultural warfare, converting minds to the USA's ways to make sure Germany would become a compliant vassal and profitable market. Quite like stolen Hong Kong where the SAR agreement was about corporate profits with some lip service to the people's interests. Had the CCP not accepted this managed theft, HK would still be a colony of the West. The thieves were demanding conditions.
The 50-year agreement was merely for buying time for the indoctrination regime to have enough time to re-weaponize HK against the mainland, to fully steal it again, by provoking conflict as the NAZOS always do.
Hong Kong only has a Basic Law, too, for similar reasons. Because it is a conquered territory without its original sovereignty. And funnily that Basic Law states there needs to be a national security legislation. Which was recently finally implemented.

The problem with comparing Hong Kong and Taiwan is, Hong Kong has always been a colony. Maybe if the Dutch still ruled Taiwan, it'd be a fair comparison. I would argue that the two are too incongruous to lead to any useful deduction based on a comparison of the two. What use is there in such a comparison anyway? The protectors of Hong Kong: the UK (sorry Allan) are not powerful enough to back the terms of the handover of Hong Kong. The United States is indeed powerful enough to back its defensive treaty with Taiwan, and there is not even a possibility that Japan would not react. Their states as protectorates are also different. The comparison shouldn't even be made.
Edit: I guess you could reasonably deduce that the CCP is not to be trusted, but does this comparison even need to be made to come to that conclusion?

ANSWER: it is the immediate task of China to regain all our lost territories, not merely to defend our sovereignty below the Great Wall. This means that Manchuria must be regained. We do not, however, include Korea, formerly a Chinese colony, but when we have re-established the independence of the lost territories of China, and if the Koreans wish to break away from the chains of Japanese imperialism, we will extend them our enthusiastic help in their struggle for independence. Prozzie obviously has a good understanding of the current political situation in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. After World War II, the world order has become very clear, that is, no country can use force to plunder other people's land, property, and harm the people living there. Otherwise, it will be aggression, which will inevitably arouse anger and suppression from countries around the world.
After this motorcycle trip around the island, I believe Prozzie should know more about Taiwan, and know that the values of Canadians and Taiwanese are mostly the same. Although the races, climates, and lifestyles of the two countries are very different in all aspects, people who have lived in these two countries for a long time should fall in love with them.

An empire that has bred happy slaves whose happiness is built on other people's suffering.

Your line *"After World War II, the world order has become very clear, that is, no country can use force to plunder other people's land, property, and harm the people living there."* is really a darkly cynical joke and exemplary of the power of propaganda in disconnecting people from blatant reality.

And Taiwan only exists because of the age-old and still ongoing game of US meddling, propping up the KMT, the right-wing nationalists, always their natural choice. That rotten foundation is still being built on because Taiwan is not treating the USA as they deserve, but as a protector. Typical behavior of a slave. That is not freedom. Germany only has a Basic Law, too, a post-war order-restoration means, and it should have been replaced by a democratic constitution long ago, after the reunification restored full sovereignty through the whole of the German People. That is according to the Basic Law itself! But it hasn't happened yet. Because Germany doesn't have democracy but a phony-democratic reign by the USA. The foundation is profoundly rotten. Also proven by the fact that virtually no German knows about that article in the Basic Law.
