  • The 2024 Cheshire Run saw an amazing array of classic lorries, vintage trucks, classic cars and more amassing at the Midway truckstop, before departing to contend with the classic Road Run, which took the trucks all over Shropshire and North Wales.
Before the classic lorries turned up, we headed over to our usual vantage point to film the trucks driving past, which as always was a glorious 1920s original Garage - the very residence of our 1947 Dodge Pickup before it was added to our collection roughly two years ago.
There was a fantastic array of historic lorries that can be seen on the road and all parked up together in this full walkaround of the 2024 Cheshire Run's stop-off at the Midway truckstop, with many classic British lorries attending from marques such as ERF, Leyand, Albion, AWD, AEC and more, with trucks from the 1920s to the 1990s all appearing.
Of course we also cannot forget the great turnout of classic cars at this year's classic lorry road run, including a Ford Corsair, Standard 10, a pair of Bond Minicars and much more!
If you liked this walkaround focusing mainly on the classic lorries & vintage trucks that parked up briefly at the Midway, then please do let me know in the comments.

Love the video really well done. That Bright yellow “dumper truck” is a “J” reg so around 1970/71 it is an earth mover designed for open quarry use. What a fantastic renovation. Thankyou

A video of an event your dad hasn't covered ( yet) ?, nice one Harley 👍, love the p1800 and not because of the TV series either, amazing they went from that to the brick shape of the 200, 700 series of cars ( all of which I once owned) , very much doubt I will ever own a P1800 though now . That Foden dumper truck at 34.00 mins in, reminds me so much of the Tonka toy I had as a kid, maybe it was based on this truck ? , my toy was even the same colour yellow , funny how it all comes back seeing an image, lol.

Hi 👋 Harley. I remember those Thames Traders on the roads in the sixties , also Bedfords too. The Ford Corsair is a good looking car. Not many sold here in NZ , I think their engines weren't very good. The Cortinas sold better. That cream and red bus cracks me up because it looks like the buses I remember in the 1960s. To you Harley these vechiles must be very old. Very good video . Thanks from Carl .

Great bunch of vintage commercials Harley, couple of pointers, 'Deutz' is pronounced 'Doytz' not 'Dootz', and the canvas cover on the back of the Morry Thou pickup is known as a 'tilt. That bonneted Thames Trader was actually a German Ford truck I'm led to believe, sold over here to compete with the TJ Bedford. The survival rate of the Bedfords bears no relation to the number of trucks that were on the road back in the day. Bedford's advertising slogan was 'You See Them Everywhere' and they were right! That white Corsair looks well nice on RoStyles, I think you had to dig deep for a 2000E if you wanted RoStyles back then.

Ah sorry it was the first time I'd seen a Deutz, I did think the corsair was a sharp looking car, thanks for watching
