- The House on Wednesday passed a bill that would lead to a nationwide ban of the popular video app TikTok if its China-based owner doesn't sell, as lawmakers acted on concerns that the company's current ownership structure is a national security threat.

Unfortunately to many people aren’t smart enough to realize that a lot of the news they are getting isn’t actually true and there aren’t facts and sources to back it up. They then go and repeat these lies and conspiracy theories and it makes its way around on social media convincing people of that lie. Then you might get a result like people believing Russia and Vladimir Putin have moral superiority over the United States and that we are the ones to blame for their crimes. With Tik Tok we are getting other countries narratives and propaganda mixed in and it’s already having a horrible impact on the more non educated among us. Before social media those people didn’t have a clue about what was going on in the country or in the world. These people weren’t engaged and didn’t vote. Now they are being bombarded with fake news all day long and the algorithm keeps giving them more of the same. Both sides now believe the other is evil and won’t compromise or work together on anything because they will get shamed for it and voted out. Without compromise our system will not work and we will never make significant progress on anything. In the mean time other rival countries are on the same page just waiting out the clock on the United States to continue destroying itself from within. They only need to throw in some misinformation here and there and allow Til Tok, the ultimate brainwashing tool and vehicle for foreign propaganda to carry their divisive and anti American propaganda to the masses.

It's not a ban. Users will continue to be able to utilize the app. it’s a divestiture meaning that the CCP will have a non-controlling percentage of the app and even maybe zero percentage of the app once it’s divested. It just depends on what Congress approves a complete the vesture of CCP or only a percentage, but in either case, the application is still going to be around and users will still be able to use it. The code will be changed and secured so that CCP does not obtain any data when using the app.
That's not what they are trying to do. They don't want the CCP to control it.

A bill banning TikTok should also contain provisions for funding young American entrepreneurs to develop their own version of it. Young American adults need to be taught collective self-sufficiency as a country and culture.
