I was asked to build Guthrie's pedalboard for the latest Steven Wilson, 'The Raven That Refused To Sing' tour
Here's how that went
'...the lick of dignity...'
his clean tone with the neck pickup is perfect
He's one of the best guitarists ever, and so humble with it, a true gent ;)
When I was at uni I used to go and watch Guthrie playing at the bassment in Chelmsford, tiny venue, packed full of mostly students and guitar geeks to watch them play some pretty awesome jazz sets. Guthrie was always so chilled out yet played brilliantly, and always such a nice guy to talk to.
Two brilliant men servicing mankind.
yeah, really does sound fab. If you get a chance to see him with Steven Wilson i highly recommend it. His playing and tone is just mind blowing
Saw Guthrie play through this rig in Philly last night. The guy is a monster and a gentleman.
GG is probaly the best guitarist in the world right now
'British Squonky Tone', Victory Amps should use that phrase in their marketing!
Hey Dan, if you ever get the chance it would be really cool to see you go through Steven Wilson's rig with him!
Thanks for this great video with Guthrie. Always learn a lot from Guthrie (talking and playing). So thanks for sharing this with us. I've added a video response to this video where we've done a guitar lesson on one of the licks he played in this video ... hope you like it. Thanks again for doing what you do.
Saw Guthrie last night in St. Petersburg, FL. That man did not make one single mistake. He is a titan.
The "Modulation Delay" on the Time Factor is simply stunning !
Thanks! Just listened to it. I didn't think my respect for this man could be any greater. He is an utter genius.
Guthrie could knock his guitar of it's stand and still somehow manage to produce something so awesome that no one else could do it.
He is such a beautiful person, mister Guthrie, please make some audio books so I can listen to them before I go sleep!!
If you get the chance guys, as I did last night in Toronto, don't miss seeing Steve's band. You won;t regret it.
"Can't stop" at the 6:55?? hahahahahahah
I saw that pedalboard on the Guthrie's rig rundown video (premierguitar channel) . I liked a lot. It's perfect for all the guys which uses a lot of analog stompboxes instead multifx units. Good job! Greetings from Spain.
Great stuff Dan, I love my midi 14...great to see a dude like Guthrie using one, all the best...
