      I have a question, if you download a JPEG file to transform into CMYK… Does the new exported file still in JPEG or will it be in 300DPI? If it’s still in JPEG format does the process become 2 step to turn it into DPI using one of the other link you gave?

    Thank you for this information. It is great. One other problem you might look into is that people who use AI and upscale their images are uploading them to some POD websites thinking upscaling automatically makes them 300 dpi. It doesn't. Not all AI websites convert it. It almost always upscales in 72dpi. After that, people need to convert it to 300 dpi.

    • @NechEmpire
      @NechEmpire  7 месяцев назад

      When printed on products, 72 vs 300 DPI is incredibly noticeable. And as you correctly mention, this is something people who are using AI does not understand.

    If we do it your first method (save as pdf with CMYK and 300 dpi, then make it a PNG), will we have to make it CMYK again or does the CMYK format still remain during the conversion of pdf to png?
    I know that I will have to remove background with your tool that doesn’t affect the quality of the png, but what about the CMYK… does it still remain from the original pdf format?

    I still hope this will work, but for printing T-Shirts these 300 dpi may be not "real"? If I will turn my designs made on Canva from 96 dpi to 300 dpi via upload them to converttown or any other app like this the 300 DPI are not "real". I have asked my POD partner for this. He said: I have to vectorize the image first, turn this into 300 dpi. But I still dont know if I turn this back from vector... SVG for example...back to PNG if these 300 dpi will stay. What do you think about vectorizing pictures before set up dpi higher to receive real 300 dpi ?

    • @NechEmpire
      @NechEmpire  Год назад

      It mostly depends on the graphics you want to print. Vectorizing works great with simple graphics, and personally, I use Vectorizer.AI, which is free to use. I am already vectorizing graphics with a transparent background and then using Convert Town to achieve a vector DPI of 300.

    what's the difference here between 300 DPI Image and CMYK format? i'm confused
    shall i make two steps? for example first convert PDF to DPI 300 then convert it to jepg cmyk?
    then how about transparency of the the file background? does it disappear that way when it become jpeg?

    • @NechEmpire
      @NechEmpire  2 года назад +2

      Simply put, DPI is a pixel density, which means more detailed image. CMYK is a color space primarily used for printed material and uses ink to display color. While RGB Colors may look great on screen, but they will need to be converted to CMYK color space before supplying your art files to your printer.
      If you lost the transparent background, use zyro.com/tools/image-background-remover. This AI remover is making transparent background without losing quality of image.

    • @NechEmpire
      @NechEmpire  9 месяцев назад

      For printing on products like t-shirts, mugs or pillows, 300 DPI is a standard. For bigger products, go for 400 DPI. The math here is simple - when you have 300 DPI, printers are stretching these 300 dots in 1 inch. With 400 DPI, you are stretching 400 dots in 1 inch. More DPI means more detailed, and it is more noticeable on bigger products.

      I have made another similar tutorial but instead of Canva, you can use free app called Photopea - ruclips.net/video/vHzY_zoVPBY/видео.html

    Yeaa... as 'informative' as this video was, I don't think I feel comfortable updating any of my product packaging designs in Canva, converting each design at least TWICE (once to upgrade the resolution to 'print quality from less than 300DPI to 300DPI, then again after downloading the updated design from Canva from non-print quality RGB to CMWK color format), then sending the updated product packaging design to our manufacturer PRAYING with my FINGERS CROSSED that the final packaging printed by our manufacturer which our customers will be receiving their product inside, in many cases being their first purchase of our product, doesn't look like a God awful BLURRY MESS. Literally the opposite of professional product development.

      This is one point of view. But for beginners who want to use fulfillment companies for their small print-on-demand business, it should be enough. However, if you want to build a brand, this is, of course, not an option.
