For the most part this was helpful. Thank you! The only thing is, you didnt download as a png with a transparent background. Converting the other types to a png on the other site is cool but it doesn't make the background transparent.
I had no idea that Canva downloads were under 300 dpi! I wish we didn't have to do the extra steps to convert! Oh well! Thank you very much!!

Hi! Thank you so much for the info! When I download the pdf print from canva and convert it to a png like you show, it still says 96 dpi.. Even though I requested download high quality. I'm confused as to why it's doing this! Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Thanx for the info..wanted to know if the above method of converting pdf into png would get the desired 300dpi quality on these websites without compromising the size of the files..like if it were resized back to a large file eg 9000× 9000 px ,after above process would that take away or reduce the 300dpi again, Also does the 300dpi mean we dint need to further fix cmyk n rbg issues n the image file is ready for quality printing on tees n other merch as is?

You can just go to preview and open image size. Then uncheck resample (thats what will resize it) then just change DPI to 300.

I know Canva has the 36x60 inch dimension and even allows you to do custom dimension, my question is when printing will my logo and image be blurry or will resolution in Canva be correct? What resolution is acceptable for a print that size? Thanks again!
Sometimes the print dept. in Staples can answer those types of questions.

I prefer Corjl for my printables but it has am monthly cost. I only used Canva to start up my shop and quickly moved to a paid source for higher quality

pdf print & standard don't give you the option to have a transparant background. Only with png right?

Hi i got an important question how do i remove a background without decreasing the resolution from 300 to 96 dpi? because even if i download the print in pdf i cant remove the background only after i convert it to jpg or png.
I have a question if we have Canva free how do we change the resolution size to a higher quality for our digital art if we don’t have canva pro ? Would we have to go to a different site to change the resolution size for our buyers for them to pick the size they would want to have it printed out at their printing shop ?

so helpful! I've seen sellers on Etsy being able to have them download various types of files when they purchase a print. How do they get various photos with different types all in one purchase?
Hi Karen, they use a zip file as far as l know. I'm still learning about digital selling but you can research what a zip file is online.
You would think that with all of the things they've added to Canva recently, they would have fixed the quality issue of their images especially for Pro members especially since the things created with it will most likely be printed out. I like making my own stickers on canva because of the extensive library. I recently spent a lot of time creating them, printed them out and they look meh. Now I know to use these programs to get better quality. TFS!

You can only download images with a transparent background if you have Canva Pro.Hope this helps!
@Zen Rebel when you choose download/save as > Filetype: PNG, you can see an option that says transparent background. You need to tick that one before you click the final download button. This is only for the Canva Pro users.
Do you think it’s necessary to test out the quality of your prints before starting your business? Like do you think I need to print one of my digital products to see how the quality will come out? Hmm, do you know if the image was stretched when uploaded? So perhaps it didn't quite fit the dimensions needed. I'm not sure why else it could be blurry unless linkedin compresses it.

I do not have a different video for saving in different sizes. If using Canva I would just recreate the same design in the different sizes you want. (:

Yes! If you have photoshop though I would recommend doing it all in there to save the extra step of saving as a pdf.
when I donwload they look amazing, but when I put them on word and export them as pdf, ( to make labels) they become blurry :/
Word compresses images when turned into a PDF, so the image quality will become lower. A quick google search gave me this but you might want to look for a more recent article : wordtopdfimage.blogspot.com/2012/02/preserve-image-quality-when-saving-from.html

When you save the image to your iPad (before uploading to Canva) is it also in pdf?
From my ipad when using an art program like procreate, if the image has a transparent background I'd save as a PNG, with a background I save as a JPEG. (:

Why don't you convert the image resolution as 300 dpi in photoshop?
