Hi, do you live in Canada? Maybe a 4 season tent can take the place of a tarp. Also a hatchet or an axe could take the place of a hammer if you plan on starting a fire.. It would be the same weight and most of them will be able to act as a hammer on the back side of them.
Hey Lance, Yep I live in western Canada. I don't have a ton of experience with 4 season tents...the only one I have used was a canvas one that would sleep 10 people and was huge to pack around. Any of my other winter camping has been with a lean too or the same single tarp that I packed with this kit. Any recommendations? I like your thoughts on the hatchet, I would just want to make sure to cut a notch so that you could still pull out spikes if required.
Hello Matt listening yes these items can really help people out in a jam. Many people did have to evacuate due to wild fires or floods and deal with the smoke in the air . He said that one CR Word❤
hi Matt - interesting kit. You used space very well and brought many smart options. Also saw some interesting ideas that I did not see before. Thanks for sharing. btw no maps, compass or something like that? Other then that it is pretty complete. Well done. greetings Jason In case you are interested, I have a bug out bag and all kinds of other systems on videos in my channel. Take care!
Thanks again, sorry to disappoint but neither. I grew up spending tons of time camping and had an uncle who served in Vietnam and another who is a first responded and a bit of a prepper (before it was cool). I have always seen the value in this stuff and wanted to share what I learned and hope to learn new stuff along the way.
That was the purpose of this build. Great to have big elaborate kits, but it my wife and kids are taking the bag while I'm at work, I specifically kept it simple (one bag and go). We have talked about extras to bring, it really depends on how quickly you need to get out. This is designed for immediately.
I’ve never seen the dish liquid and paper towel thing before. GREAT idea
Please share the idea, just dreamed it up one day and it works great.
Yes..Great idea..and to vacuum seal them after like ❤socks and dry clothes
Damn! Another excellent video.
Thanks!
Great ideas..Many of them I have..but the few I don't..Will be implemented 💪🇺🇲☯️..Thank you brother..We The People!🇺🇲💪🫡
Thanks man. If you have any other ideas please share, always looking for new and better ways to get it done

Yes..my hatchet is my hammer while out away from home. Or camping/ Fan slapping event..💪
A Silcock key for water procurement in an urban area is also a great/light cheap tool.
Good point, I keep one in my get home bag, but good to have one on the way out too

Only one bag for whole family of 4 ?

No spare socks , underwear etc ?
If you have some room then definitely pack some, I have included soap to wash them, may have to go commando while they dry :)
