My aunt was a home economics teacher. She majored in chemistry. Understood and utilized her knowledge of chemical reactions in the cooking process and always produced fabulous food.
Perhaps the best show/series I have ever seen. Actually teaching Chemistry myself(college), for me so much thought (Writer Bonnie Gamus, Director Sarah Adina Smith, Lee Eisenberg) was put into how the story unfolds and Brie Larson never seemed to flinch in doing an AMAZING job of portraying the scientist here. Absolutely awesome! :)
it's an art not a science. A science would simply mean that you present the equation for heat and ingreadiates. Mixed by recipe, cook the exact time on the recipe and BAM out pops the perfect cookie. It's not so. the science is applied in a careful way, the cook making the biggest contribution to success. Application of the recipe yes, but applied by the cook's expression of results.
Brie Larson is way better in this than as Captain Marvel. It was a mistake bringing her into the MCU. She is so good as a serious actress, in maternal and more prickly roles, that the popcorn movies seem like a mismatch.
@@solitaryman777 Brie Larson is way better in (enter any movie here) than as Captain Marvel. She is a good actres in comedy and popcorn movies, she did great in Scott Pilgrim vs The world. The problem is that Captain Marvel and The Marvels is shit.
@@mikaku she was okay in that role, didn't do a whole lot, but man, can she sing! Captain Marvel is hard to relate to as a kind of a detached alien prototype, and yeah, was overall crap. You can only do so much with the material given to work with. She earned that statue with Room. The only MCU movie that's held up was the first Captain America, maybe the first Iron Man. Otherwise, it's been in free fall for a while.
Isn't TV wonderful. Who remembers Donna Reed? Remember when father knew best? What if real life was like that? Smiling children, endless entertaining interactions, instead of the yelling and screaming and casting of vile insults to establish dominance and hierarchy. I'm holding on by the skin of my teeth these days. The real crime is that I allowed it to happen. Shut my eyes, covered my ears and pretended its great.
Damn. I'm over halfway through my colon cleanse and haven't eaten in over 24 hours. All I can think about is how good that one taste of crust must have been to send a man running through his studio and in front of a moving vehicle. 😢
Just wondering here, but how did she have a african american child,?

Not a big puzzle, I had many "ethnic" relatives, They were adoptive, cultural exchanges, boarding youth of Missionary Parents, and my favorite type of cousin fugitives from unsuitable parental figures who were residing at the leisure of some detention facility we referred to as "The Crowbar Resort and Spa". Many of these parents ended up being housed permanently in subterranean accommodations of unknown location.

THANK YOU. why can't posts just state the source???????
I always go looking for this comment in these type of videos.
Why can't they post the name?
i think rie is a very good actress she is believable in the roll wish her well
LOLOLOL Ms. Marvel and this are the only two times I've seen her act and that was twice too many times.
Cooking is applied chemistry. Many observations were passed by word of mouth, or in annotated recipes, for generations, mostly by women.
Good book and a good adaptation. Well worth watching.
Fabulous book. Great series adaptation. I wish the had 6:30 in more scenes. One of my favorite characters.
Absolutely loved it.
Fantastic.
Cooking is a science... equations that make the tastebuds sing.

@@SuperChuckRaney Every equation has variables and constants.
@@CanadianSmoke I was trying to make it sound fancy ;)
@@SuperChuckRaney Understood... and agreed! Art is science and science is art.

Absolutely Lovely 😍 Woman ❤
In Today's multiverse scenario: Stuart's child is bullying Captain Marvel's daughter.

That's just TV. It's never been like that in real life. Women are people who exist outside of making you feel good all the time.
Get over it.

What is this movies name?
Lessons in Chemistry. Apple+ TV Show. 1 season, 8 episodes. Really well done series!
3:22 Hired a non-union (child?) actor to wear the dog outfit - _no CGI in this film_ !
The girl with glasses had never missed three meals per day or five for that matter.
What was with the camera shaking there? Was that supposed to take the place of acting?
@@agalgonzalez That was RUclips shenanigans. Didn't happen in the actual show.
@@agalgonzalez I hear ya Al Gonzalez. It's like all those slurs about Hispanics. You know; 100% true.

What about the Labradoodle
Al....ask your Mom.
Went into teaching after the comic book store folded?
And the fact the woman’s a robot must be how she gets such an impossible amount of stuff done. Martha Stewart level output and all that.
