This is one of the coolest techniques I've seen in awhile. The only problem for me is how did you get all those bubbles. Or what type of bubble solution did you use?
Thank you Kimberly❤️. To answer you question…first I laid down the UV Resin then I blew bubbles in a glass using Dawn dish soap-though I think any kind will work. Scoop the bubbles up, lay them over the resin and quickly (before they pop) use your UV light to cure the resin. I think it took between 60-90 secs. The products and the UV light I used is in the description box. Also, you can use a UV Black light Flash light-found on amazon too. Hope this helps!
Hi Corinn! I used Dawn dish soap. Others may do just as well…as long as they hold their bubbles. Also, since this video I tried putting the dish soap in a wider container so I would have a larger amount to spread making it easier! Thanks so much for watching!
Absolutely breath-taking thank you was very infornational I just was wondering what kind of soap you were using it was it dawn not sure but anyway God bless you you and yours
Thank you so much😊❤️. Yes… I used Dawn dish soap. Put a little in a glass, add water and with a straw, just blow from the bottom slowly! if you want a tiny bubbles you can put the soap/water in a container with a lid and shake.
Merci beaucoup❤️. Pour fixer les bulles dans la résine, j'utilise FingArt Nail Dryer-UV Light d'Amazon. Ils vendent également une lampe de poche Black Light ~ UV qui semble être très populaire.
Shelli, both set's are beautiful...I even love the ones with the smaller bubbles, they are just stunning...you know I'm going to try this out...maybe in between my big project 🤣 I just got in new coaster molds that have to be used...these are stunning Shelli, you knocked it out of the park!!! 🐉
@@ShelliAndersonArt it is 🤣 and it's resin...the reason I have all these resin items on my desk and within my reach...finishing up the final days to it...and the video...then I can breath💗 never know, I may still be able to use this in some area...my mind is thinking about this now😍 never know what the next layer of resin will bring🤣 hugs and thank you for the inspiration!
You spell “Shelli” the same way my creative mom spelled my name. I’m nuts about peacock colors and had to watch this video. I’m confused about the bubble step but this is the first dragon scale video I’ve watched.
That’s so funny… My sister calls me, shellbell❤️. I love peacock colors too and I especially love the chameleon, powders! The soap bubbles are applied over the UV resin before it’s cured, They create the texture you see. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!🤗
was wondering do you have to use the UV resin to do the bubbles correctly? I have a painted fingernail dryer was wondering will that work as the same?@@ShelliAndersonArt
@@dawnscreativecraftycorner2589 The UV resin dries quickly with the UV light and allows the bubbles to form. Pretty sure regular resin will not work with this application. The light I used was a UV light made for drying fingernails and it works great!
After your bubbles pop under your uv light do the popped bubbles look like moon craters or are they bumps? Mine looked like moon craters, is that how thy are supposed to look ?
@@bonniemcintyre9575 hi Bonnie! Yes, After the bubble popped under the light, they do resemble moon craters. In the video I put down a coat of regular resin first and let that cure. Then I applied the UV resin on top and then the bubbles. Once they are removed from their molds, I turned them over. The shapes appear 3-D. I hope this helps. And thanks for watching!
I will be glad to send you a picture in messenger if you would like. I created a different piece that I left with the crater look…. A pumpkin. I will be glad to send you that too so you can see the difference.
Hmm I'm not sure if I want to wait that long lol. I've seen it done with just uv on bottom and I've seen them done with black layer first then the uv resin then top coat so hmmm not sure which technique I want to try. I do have iridescent flakes of different colors and such I think I want to put in see what happens
Hey Julie! Thank you! I Love the chameleons from KCC for this technique~they're gorgeous! The heart mold came from Amazon. They have a lot to choose from, but here's the link to the one I used: www.amazon.com/Heart-Silicone-Keychain-Making-Deepth/dp/B083391LTG/
The first layer is an Epoxy Resin designed to hold up to heat from coffee mugs and water ~after curing. The UV Resin is not made for that. Also, do not stretch the sides of the mold or take the first layer out because the UV Resin may run down the sides. Hope this helps❤️
😊Hello, this is a wonderfull Video. Can you please Tell me how the second Song (how i miss the Sun) title is and who is the singer? Thabk you very much!
I put a little water in a container, add the liquid soap and then add more water. You may have big bubbles but probably not enough. So put the straw in and blow from the bottom. You should get bigger bubbles then. Hope this helps!
a straw, now why didnt i think of that. ive done my first batch with the smaller bubbles, they looks great, the powder smudged a little bit on the front, but otherwise looking good@@ShelliAndersonArt
OMG i LOVE them! These cells and shiny colors...just brilliant! 😍👌
