I was amazed how turning the heat off for 30 seconds transformed my popcorn! Much fuller popping of each kernel. Definitely a top tip 👍🏻
THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!!!! 😱
I have gone through three different brands of kernels, I even tried alternating the pots I use and nothing seemed to work. I'm writing this down as I am eating the popcorn literally 😂
It came out so crunchy & crispy and absolutely no kernels were wasted 🙌❤️
Omg. Worked like magic 🦄🦄🦄. I should have watched this before wasting and burning kernels. Thnx for this awesome vid.😘😘😘
Just tried it! Works really well! So impressed it’s so crunchy.
Finally! All kernels popped, fluffy popcorn, and cripsy! This the shizzle! Thanks, Tom! 😄
The tricks are so useful. Thanks for sharing.
Thomas, when I'm looking for a recipe and I see that you are on the list of videos, I always think, "Oh, good. Thomas will know how to do it." I just so appreciate you, your expertise, and your upbeat attitude. Really enjoy your work. All the best!
You are just a great host! I love kitchen conundrums
Your tips saved me from burnt popcorn! Life changing! Thank you!
I love stovetop popcorn! I always season mine with Old Bay Seasoning.
Tried and worked!! All kernels popped perfectly! 😍 Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you so much for this video! I like using sunflower oil (we didn’t like coconut oil in our popcorn) and I was looking for alternatives to salt and butter, so I found that all in your recipe! I just cooked smoked paprika one and it’s amazing. I don’t get, why I never tried to add it to my popcorn... And what is the most important thing, it actually didn’t burn at all! Thanks again!❤️
I had burnt 250g of corn and the pot before I subscribed to your channel. I followed your tricks religiously and my pop corn was perfect. You are a great teacher.
This is such a high quality video in so many ways! I feel like onion powder adds a funyionish flavor to popcorn
I am blown away with how good my popcorn turned out! I followed the first recipe with the masala and it was so delicious. I didn't have powdered sugar and regret it a little bit because I used granulated and it all fell to the bottom of the bowl. The few pieces of popcorn I got with sugar were divine!
The chili lime is a great flavor for the popcorn, I add my lemon juice with a mist spray bottle to keep it from making the popcorn soggy.
your awesome man. i enjoy all your shows. we need to do a episode on baking with Tang(drink mix). cakes, pies, cookies and so much more.
I had just made popcorn that looked like what you first showed then I watched your video and decided I have to try that right now
I did and they popped much better. I switched off the heat first 30 seconds.. turned well Thank you
I am amazed at how much the technique works... 💯 I tried making popcorns yesterday and wasted 2 batches. But today they all laughed... Brilliant job! Bless you... 😍
I did it and they came out perfect. Thanks
I'm totally getting that book! :)

Hey Thomas - Thanks. Your trick is absolutely fail proof. Works every single time.
Thank you! Worked out to a perfect stove top batch of popcorn!!!!!
Perfect recipe!
Thanks for another amazing video. I love you THomas!
Thank you chef
Great topping ideas!
The oil is important...try using coconut oil! You won't even need seasoning afterwards.
Collin SO TRUE...AMAZING THAT COCONUT OIL GAVE A DELICIOUS TASTING POPCORN 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Definitely!!!! 🥰
Coconut oil is the best, makes light and fluffy and especially "Non Greasy" popcorn with a subtle sweetness. White popcorn is the best in my opinion.👍
@@ericdee6802 it’s so good
Can i use Olive or Normal?

Such a nice tut, helped me alot. Before this I was always burning my popcorn,Thankss

Amazing! I always burn my popcorn and with this recipe. It was exactly like microwave popcorn.
Great popping tip! They all popped for me.
Only stove top popcorn for my family! No microwave junk for us! Thanks for the topping ideas
Tastes exactly the same. LOL You couldn't tell the difference in a blind test if big money was involved.
Christmas coming, how about roasted almonds (usually seen in x-mas fairs)?
with simple sugar, honey, cinnamon, wine or garlic?
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE CAUSE THERES sO MANY OPTIONS FOr TOPINGSS
I am addicted to pop corn. Looks good.
This is the best popcorn hack ever. Tried it right away, got it perfected, and while it is still in the kettle and hot, i added butter and salt and let melt , continued on mixing it and got a perfect result.
That white pot😍
What material is it made of?
+Roberto Aguiar cast iron
Thanks

Can u plz do a video for perfect tart shells?
very effective! just made a small pot of pop corns - none burned, and only one unpopped! Will try with big pot, - will see if it works then
Wow!!! I just tried this out and its the BEST popcorn I evet made in my entire life.
You guys are great. Thanks.
Wow all of these comments seem so suspiciously supportive xD
@@eloyreveronrizzo4800 No need to be suspious because its facts.
Is safflower oil the same thing as sunflower oil?
This will definitely help with my non-popped kernels in my salted caramel popcorn
I have to make a large amount of popcorn for a party this week. It has been ages since I've made it so I tried to practice last night and following the instructions on the bag a lot my popcorn was kind of small and only half popped, if you know what I mean. I will try this method tonight and hopefully I will be able to make popcorn good enough to feed to my guests.
It worked!!! The first time in my life I have only 3 unpopped kernels.
That's great! Can't wait to try it out myself
turned out so great, unlike the previous burned batch lol
I use a screen on top instead of the lid to release the most steam
Oh what an awesome idea! I always feel like even with tipping the lid the kernels still taste less crunchy than when microwaved. I’m gonna try the screen!
thanks,it really worked . now I can make this for my 12th birthday on friday
Yayyy I hope it turned out good
i like your videos😁
A lot of flavor options
i do most all of this but my popcorn is often too soft/chewy. i have a whirly pop so it stirs it and vents. maybe i will try putting more vents in the top to allow more steam to come out?
keep it up
At 2:15 you say to chewy - that’s what I’m getting. Thanks for sharing. And what kind of pan are you using - and burner? Please.
Coconut oil is the trick to make movie theater like popcorn. Also it helps to use clarified butter or when pouring in the butter to not add the white milky solids as that can make the popcorn soggy
Ya this guy doesn't know how popcorn is done, clearly...
Because when I go to the movies I get popcorn that has been popped with coconut oil and clarified butter. 😂. And yes, I know I am 3 years late to this convo.
The oven does the trick if all else fails, also coconut oil two tablespoons for extra fluff and crisp
you prolly dont care but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?
I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Harlem Zahir instablaster ;)
i missed how hot the burner was , medium or high heat. your answer will explain why i dint like my moms popcorn. Tony Chachres seasoning and Parmesan cheese on mine please... and did you say it was Festive? lol.
Awesome!!! :))
i've used my Whirly-Pop stove top popper with a 1/4 C of corn oil and used the same method used here in this video. The only difference is the Whirly=Pop 's lid is vented and with the stirrer/handle you don't have to shake the pot a lot
Did the popcorn turn out crunchier? I've never been able to get it as crunchy as I want in the WP.
Just try it with an IH heater, it works!
I love nutritional yeast on mine! :)
I put my popcorn on go set down and dont get up till its through.
I use salted butter. Perfect!
It worrrrrked!
I put an up turned colander that fits over my pot. Steam escapes but popcorn cannot. Works well.
Strawberry powdered popcorn . Mmm 😋
I warm popcorn in microwave like the normal way. And not every corn pops so I have to count like 100 pops then its done if I want all the pops to pop then some might get burn I have a micro I can lower the heat but dont know how long they can be to pop most corns. So yeah its very tricky.
Would recommend popping in clarified butter, really helps the flavour
After watching this video I started a popcorn shop the next day! 🙂
Oh wow
The smell of burned popcorn can come in handy.
Once, it had been raining for days, and my house smelled musty from having the windows closed for so long. I was expecting company to come for a few hours, and this person was blind. So, I knew that his sense of smell was strong, and he would notice the musty smell. So, just before he arrived, I burned some popcorn.
He never notice the musty smell, as the burned popcorn smell covered it. And, WHO hasn't burned popcorn? It got me out of an embarrassing situation, that air freshener sprays would have only accentuated.
if his sense of smell worked right he'd smell burned popcorn on top of a mushy house. Search for NASA Clean Air Study and go get some plants
@@FontediCalore what does it mean if I rub my nose and it smells AWFUL, completely unlike anything I've ever smelled. You seem smart and Google has no answers.
Andrew S - your breath stinks.. or your hands need to be washed. most likely your breath though.
Can you do a bread pudding video?
Me: (shakes pot)
(popcorn overflows)
Me: OH GOD ( panics)
What is the best temperature to make popcorn ? Medium or high ?
med/high
brown sugar? great idea!
Can this guy become even cutter? He is just fantastic!
He really is damn cute
+Terence Pragash he surely is.
I concur 😍
Or gayer
Roberto Aguiar like a pizza cutter?
No matter what I do I keep getting chewy popcorn and I followed the instructions
wtf this worked thanks ❤❤❤
mix gochujang (korean red pepper paste) with caramel, and drizzle on popcorn... YUMMAY
gracias sr raro
My dad needs this in his life
+Melakush Sellassie Do you mean Thomas Joseph, or the popcorn? hehe.
Err... excuse me does need to vegetable oil? Can I just use normal cooking oil?
