Also, a small hacksaw like that (with small teeth) is handy if you need to cut metal. Let’s say, for example, you want to make fishing lures from a tin can.
Another good video Eric. I have never liked the cord grenade style kits and the first five minutes of the video confirms why. The kit you built up at the end was awesome. Really impressed that it all fitted in the tin. Congratulations on the steady build up of subscribers, well deserved.
I really enjoy your videos, and your upgrade ideas. I always add 6 or 8 inches of duct tape, just to repair the water bag if needed. Keep up the great work.
Found your site the other day and enjoying it quite a bit. I've also gotten ideas on what to put in and not put into my own kit. Thanks. Just thinking that the clips to make a bracelet aren't redundant. You could use the cordage you have to make a bracelet as a part to hold onto the cordage.
Always great reviews and ideas. I am wondering if you did a video on just the metal containers and where to get them? I don't even know how to search for them. Thanks.
You can use the little saw blade as a striker. Some of the ferro rods you can get at harbor freight come with a short saw to use as a striker. Kind of a pain but they do work. Good video
So on that lil blue hack saw blade if one side of it has a burr it will make a great ferro rod striker. Is there some where you can buy those red tins you used or is that from something else you cannibalized, also have you thought bout putting the whistle on the outside in case you need it so you don't have to unpack the whole kit?
I wish you would sell or give away some of your kits. They are bad ass and well thought up. People could use your kits. Or better yet build and design a bad ass kit your self and sell on your page. Keep up the good work man.
so if you need to quickly get down a cliff or something because a bear is chasing you. this thing will be useless. or to use it to toss to someone to reel them in, say hey wait a couple minutes! nice review. I knew this thing was a gimmick. thumbs up for you!
Hey Eric. I like the amount of cordage that comes with it, but CR's not really crazy about the price point and some of the items within. I do like how you "re did " it up tho. nicely done man. so really how long did it take to get the cordage off? All the best from CR.
I've always wanted to open up my survival grenade but then I would have to replace it. I only have it for the "cool" factor. I have plenty of other self made quality kits. I do like what you did with this one. Awesome stuff as always.
Enjoyed the vid. I have to comment on the credit card knife, i purchased 1 several yrs sgo and I've carried it in my Mapedition wallet ever since. It's def not my go to knife as i edc several knives rotating them every several weeks. I have forgotten its even in my wallet. I've been to court and I've traveled out of state it's been along for the ride. You can't carry ur typical edc knife thru airport check points but the credit card has never been an issue, once again i do forget i have it because its so thin. The other comment is i believe that the short blue saw was a striker to the additional Ferro rod that was attached to the paracord. I've seen similar strikers and ferro rods in Harbor Freight. Thx again Subscribed!
if ya wrapped the paracord around the outside of the box . i think that would be an option . in my opinion , i would find a stone with an edge and throw that wire saw in a creek . due to the fact that after cutting a branch , a bit bigger than your thumb , the saw gets clogged and the energy it takes to cut that branch isnt worth the one branch that renders the saw useless .
Like your videos, the little saw you were talking about is a striker for the other ferro rod it's a piece of hacksaw blade to use for strikers 'cause it's hardened.
Hey better than nothing for sure I could use it all for sure I lived under a bridge for a year with just a bow and arrows beetle spins lures and zebco 33 and a fire steel and sleeping bag and that's it I lived pretty dam good to
Looks good, well-crafted, but totally impractical, like all of these types of kits. I have carried one of those credit card knives in my wallet, and never had any issues with it opening.
There is videos on how to make a monkey’s fist ball. My dad made some for sailing he would use a wooden ball that floats good and rope that floats as well to make his. In boating you use them to catch boat cleats or dock cleats to pull your boat to them. But you don’t want to catch one to the head. Now some people do put steel balls in small monkey’s fist as a self defense weapon ( that is illegal in most states) and use them as key chains. But I was thinking of getting one of those survival kits but never did because putting them back together is next to impossible and what if they lied about what is inside of them. And most pocket kits I stay away from except one I got it is the bear grylls basic kit I got it for $20 dollars years ago and still have it. The knife and ferro rod together is pretty much that a the time so why not. But pocket kits tools are too small most of the time to be use full.
Survival grenades, if made by oneself, seem like a useful idea, for keeping bits of paracord that aren't long enough to fit on a roll (nor, big enough to constitute a hank) . Y'know, while carrying odd ends of things. That being said, I'd still rather have a tin.
bit of blade thats blue is your striker wire saw is reasonable i used one for pruning branches i couldnt reach, watch for it snagging but does work but for normal cutting rig it with a branch as a bow saw
The small Swiss army knife is probably the price of 2 of of those grenades. So safe to say grenade kits are just a bunch of start off components only in your opinion respectably of course
After seeing that fake Swiss army knife, you can understand why they gave you the wallet knife. In comparison that wallet knife is looking pretty damn good if you ask me.
As a previous chef I would never buy a cheap knife, I work in Forrest's now and o always have my Victoria Knox army knife Don't forget to care for them a dull knife is worthless ! ☺️
I've been keeping one of those black credit card knifes tucked away in my wallet in one of those kinda hidden slots for over 3 year's now with it never opening on me. It's their as a last ditch knife incase I lost my regular edc knife somehow.
I you are careful, you could roll the vinyl tape back onto its self. Make a new roll of electrical tape. You can never have enough electrical tape. Just ask any electrician. It’s almost as good as duct tape. If you have a cut, just put electrical tape on top of your band aid and it’s super waterproof.
Hi there!! Just curious, how many different survival kits do you own?! I have a few, I actually bought them based on your reviews "Limitless Equipment mk.1, and the basic tiny survival kit" although you reviewed the advanced one, which I recommend. The basic one sucks and it cost more than the better other kit I mentioned. Have a great day!!🤪😃
I want one of these grenade kits just to see how many of the morons in my area (sacramento area in california) freak out thinking it’s an actual grenade. Had one call the cops one time saying I was brandishing a combat knife because I opened a package with my Swiss Army Knife. Apparently the word “army” makes it a super dangerous combat knife. Lol
I've seen those fero rod buckles before, most of the ones I've seen dont work at all, they seem to be fake. Two obvious issues are the time taken to open, and what to do with the contents after you've opened it, your clothes may be soaked so you can't just bung it in your pockets, probably loose stuff anyway doing that. It's a nice idea, but not for me. Enjoyed the video mate. Regards Wayne
I don't know what you paid for that survival grenade but it looks like a waste of money I sure wouldn't waste my money on it that's for sure that one you could buy good quality gear and assembly your own of a decent quality.
6 ibuprofen, two benadryl, two Imodium. . . .my man ALWAYS adds that to every kit. Love it
Mine has 8 paracetamol, 6 sodium diclofenac (voltaren) and 2 Buscopan. I want to get some Imodium and antacids.
I always wait for him to add those too!
Great video! ! The little hack saw blade is the striker for the ferro rod . AWESOME job .
Oh yeah, duh. Thanks!
Also, a small hacksaw like that (with small teeth) is handy if you need to cut metal. Let’s say, for example, you want to make fishing lures from a tin can.

hmmm, I think the grey bit at the top was probably a separate bracelet. that would make sense with the buckle you found inside.
I thought so too, and the compass was meant to stay on when I was watching
@@bluey1610 l
Could you please make a video about where you get the anti-nausia tabs, the individual water tabs, the different containers, etc?
Awesome video and kit! Keep them coming!!
Nice kit. I like the way you can get it all to fit and it looks nice.
Fairly certain that blue 'saw' is actually another striker. I've bought dollar store ferro rods that came with a striker that looked like that.
That's correct. I didn't realize that until after the fact.
Probably More Cordage than you'd need...
Dollar store ferro rod? In what dollar store?
Love the way you repacked the kit. I’d buy it the way you did it 👍🤙. Great channel 😊
Excellent survival kit. The home made ones are always the best
Found your site the other day and enjoying it quite a bit. I've also gotten ideas on what to put in and not put into my own kit. Thanks. Just thinking that the clips to make a bracelet aren't redundant. You could use the cordage you have to make a bracelet as a part to hold onto the cordage.
Thanks!
I've had a c.c. knife in my wallet for years.
Also have a survival grenade, but I think its a last ditch thing. When all else is lost.
The ferro rod is on its own loop so you can where it as a necklace or have it wrapped on your wrist 👍
You very creative and well-grounded in the basics...thanks for the video
Can we see your collection of Swiss Army knives in another video??
Always great reviews and ideas. I am wondering if you did a video on just the metal containers and where to get them? I don't even know how to search for them. Thanks.
Do your best
Sorry, but I died of hypothermia in the time it takes to open this!
lol, right?
i died of starvation and heat exhaustion before i get the thing open
I died from a vicious bear attack, because I wasn't paying attention while trying to get this open.
You can use the little saw blade as a striker. Some of the ferro rods you can get at harbor freight come with a short saw to use as a striker. Kind of a pain but they do work. Good video
love this channel, good video!!!!!!!!
The “grenade” packaging is cute, but in an emergency, you’ll probably wish you had something that didn’t take ten minutes just to open.

Can you add a link the the container that you used to repack it? Thanks. Love the good work! Keep it up!
Also, can you link the mini glow sticks as well?
Thanks for the great video! Where did you get the tin?
Amazon

Took about 10 minutes
Love this video dude. You think it took for ever to take apart? Spare a thought for the guy that wrapped it in the first place haha
Wow. very nice. Good job man!

The courthouse here caught mine in my wallet. But the airport didn't not in Lubbock,Tx or Dulles in D.C.
@@dewayneearley7298 wow noted. It's never fun when it's pointed out.
Don't know if I would have used the " color " tin for worry about the color leaching out into what you are heating up . Other than that great kit
Yeahh I love this videos
Thanks!
This feels like something you throw into your survival gear as a sort of supplement.
The original kit? No. If I received it as a gift most of it would go in the garbage. It’s junk.
But Eric’s additions make it an okay kit.

The container is useful for water. And to keep things dry.
I think that small bit of hacksaw blade was supposed to be used as a striker for the first ferro rod
Awesome
Do you have survival stuff too?
@@flarion00 yeah plenty lol
How about a sardine can survival kit.
I've got a couple. I'll review them at some point.
Hey better than nothing for sure I could use it all for sure I lived under a bridge for a year with just a bow and arrows beetle spins lures and zebco 33 and a fire steel and sleeping bag and that's it I lived pretty dam good to
Great video :). How long did it take you to unwrap the whole thing?
A while, maybe 5 or 10 minutes
Looks good, well-crafted, but totally impractical, like all of these types of kits.

Now you got a really good kit bud

You made into Franken kit!...lol 😎
After seeing that fake Swiss army knife, you can understand why they gave you the wallet knife. In comparison that wallet knife is looking pretty damn good if you ask me.
What about a couple hot glue sticks? Can melt with the lighter
That gray part almost looked like a paracord bracelet.
As a previous chef I would never buy a cheap knife, I work in Forrest's now and o always have my Victoria Knox army knife Don't forget to care for them a dull knife is worthless ! ☺️
Where do you find your metal containers?
Go on amazon
Bought this the other day as usual 💪
y not the small tin and wrap the cord neatly around the tin like the grenade
it was on the outside in the 1st place
I've been keeping one of those black credit card knifes tucked away in my wallet in one of those kinda hidden slots for over 3 year's now with it never opening on me. It's their as a last ditch knife incase I lost my regular edc knife somehow.
You definitely improved that kit! Where can I purchase that bivy?
You can never have too many feral rods and a little piece of Saw Blade can be used as a striker
what is the best knife in the world ? That one you have with you :)
I you are careful, you could roll the vinyl tape back onto its self. Make a new roll of electrical tape. You can never have enough electrical tape. Just ask any electrician. looks cool but if I'd be in a hurry, what a nightmare...
Nice video ;)
Thanks!
I love Victorinox. 😍😍😉👍👍👍
any tips on getting my channel started?
Yes. Start it😆
Tip: Links for products go in the video description.
So you just basically made your own kit
Love the videos, have no idea how that would open its self in your wallet
Seems like a cute stocking stuffer for the outdoorsy type but not practical as a go to emergency kit by itself.
You destroyed the bracelet??....(on the top)
That folding knife can be used in an altoids style kit.
I had to shave off the corners of a credit card knife to make it fit in an Altoids tin. It still works fine, though.
Why do your pencils never have an eraser?
$42.75 on amazon right now. Keep it😆 I would pay for your improvement though
💣 Da Bomb!
I've kept one of those credit card knifes in my wallet for years.
Why do they put an extra three feet of paracord inside that egg, when they’ve already put 40 feet of paracord on the outside?
Where to buy that large container? I can´t found it to buy.
Amazon. Best Glide ASE Adventurer Survival Kit Box.
❤️❤️❤️
can you give us the link for the tin. Thanks.
Can you get the boxes by themselves?
Yes
What container is that? I need a few

That credit card knife won't open on the wallet, so long as it has the lock rolled into the right space.
I want one of these grenade kits just to see how many of the morons in my area (sacramento area in california) freak out thinking it’s an actual grenade. I'm sorry but the background music really grates. Its like being trapped in a lift.
Thad was the feeling I was going for.

Where did u get the tin?
Amazon
I have been trying to find non-lubricated condoms for survival kit building in Australia, but can’t find any. Does anyone have any leads for me?
WHY DO YOU ADD A TRICK BIRTHDAY CANDEL.
They don't get blown out that easily.
There's probably a way to open it correctly
Nice content, though all that loud music was very distracting.
Is it just me, or is this sadder than most altoid tin style kits?
I don't know what you paid for that survival grenade but it looks like a waste of money I sure wouldn't waste my money on it that's for sure that one you could buy good quality gear and assembly your own of a decent quality.
The credit card knife is there to cut the stupid kit open so you don't lose your mind taking it apart...lol
Tape the credit card knife to the top of the tin.
Not a bad idea, thanks
