I’m a tech consultant at Accenture (my channel focuses on the tech consulting career!), and you would assume a lot of CS majors, but you just need to have technical aptitude and a “business” background to understand the client, but this doesn’t mean you need to major in CS or business. I’ve seen people as psych majors, sociology majors, and even music majors do tech consulting!

As I already said, I was in influencer marketing, so working with influencers to promote the client's product: let's say it's a laptop. We would do alot of 1) Event planning for product launch shows where influencers/media were invited (ex. getting involved with the ideation, design, and production of a pop-up booth) 2) Logistics (make sure dat laptop is delivered to influencers on time so that they can upload sponsored posts) 3) Writing performance reports (how much social action, impression we reached) 4) Providing content guidelines for influencers for sponsored posts (ex. don't take a photo of sitting on the laptop..) 5) Plan digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness (ex. some competition) Hope that was helpful! :)

Am the same way. I am competitive which pushes me. I just finished my MBA and currently working in IT for an accounting firm in Chicago. I am hoping to either get into project management or consulting. I like IT, but just not dealing with end users on help desk. I do better at managing projects. p.s - your intelligence and the way you articulate yourself is attractive :)
I think people need to understand the three types of consulting. On one hand, you have your management consulting usually by MBB big three. That is more strategy and not real implementation of solutions. Is like advising people who have been working at the industry for twenty years, like you know better than them. The other is big 4 consulting, which is more on regulatory and audit stuff. The last is the one where you do the actual consulting through strategy to implementation like Accenture and IBM, as they have people and the resources to actually PUT those solutions into fruition. From a fellow consultant.
That was succinct. Perhaps the best one can elaborate from own personal experience. I have to ask this though. I am a computer engineering graduate, I have a year of work experience in graphic designing and another year in banking industry as assistant administrator; planning to get a MiM degree from European university, let's suppose I get into the top Mim program. What are my chances in consulting? I have been observant to consulting from long time hearing all its perks and benefits that would entrench my individuality.
@@prashantmishra5691 I can't speak for MBB as I'm not from one of those companies. I have mates who literally are consulting material (ie joining a lot of consulting clubs) but fail to reach into strategy consulting. Just go to talks if they have one in your school. But it is actually not too hard for technical consultants to get hired. So if I were you, try to learn as much on Python, Java and javascript. You can easily get into accenture or ibm as a technical consultant. It also literally is entirely dependent on the market as well, maybe when you graduate the economy is not doing too well. If that is the case, is not your fault. Is also easier for a technical consultant to get promoted to lead a team, than a strategy consultant. For me, I didn't go straight into consulting from undergrad. Trust me, is also not like a really good profession as people make it out.

I am from Asia, planning to go Europe to study management course and get into either investment banking or management consulting eventually after masters. I dunno when but very soon, I would say. For the record, IT is not very flamboyant as it sounded in my engineering years. Hence, to chose to change career and got into banking, in a government bank actually. Pay is great and life is not so tough for me. I can earn and save at the same time. Doing masters and getting into consulting will make life easier and fun as I hear it, the travel, good CV from industrial experiences, more time to your hands as working hour is just around 60- 80 hours and good pay than in investment banking. I got attracted over internet research and RUclipsrs who are consultant in such big firms. I feel the same about what you said, the job might not be so great as it sounds. The fear of 'what if big firms don't hire you' lives but I dunno I am actually planning to risk and come Europe to start another life with masters and consulting eventually. @@prashantmishra5691 Relatable. I started working at a French investment bank after graduation. It was in back office so it was a bit mindless and tedious. I'm also based in Asia but then I guess I got a bit ambitious and somehow ended up in consulting. I can tell you even 50 hour weeks are not good. If you have 50 hour weeks consecutively, is not good for your health. That also is not counting your travel time. I would say the best is to literally work in back office at an investment bank. You work reasonable amount of hours, since the trading hours are always set. You never have to overtime. What is the point of having money if you can't even have the time to enjoy it. Nepal is a great country, must be tough to be away from home.

You can check places like LinkedIn or directly on the websites of companies you’re interested in! But you probably have the best success rate if you contact the recruiter directly or get your foot in the door through some sort of connection. There are just so many applications so you gotta do whatever you can to stand out and utilizing your network is one way to do that.

Is there an age limit to becoming a management consultant cuz I feel that if a person has the requirements so like a degree good GPA answers interview questions all that but is a little higher in age like 36 to 37 but has a master's to can that person still get hired cuz if not that is not fair I feel the person is still qualified and deserves a chance to get hired aft ere r putting in all that hard work if they cant the employer should just say there is a legal age limit that prevents you from getting hired that sounds like discrimination but I don't know what do you think

How do you do if you have two clients and they're completetor in business each other? Will you tell them they're your customers or you don't tell them and tell them later or keep it in secret, not reveal customer secret cause of business ecthics.Have you ever met this case?
What are your educational qualifications and experience. Your bachelor's degree and if you have a master, where was it from and what was your degree?
Is there an age limit to becoming a management consultant cuz I feel that if a person has the requirements so like a degree good GPA answers interview questions all that but is a little higher in age like 36 to 37 but has a master's to can that person still get hired cuz if not that is not fair I feel the person is still qualified and deserves a chance to get hired aft ere r putting in all that hard work if they cant the employer should just say there is a legal age limit that prevents you from getting hired that sounds like discrimination but I don't know what do you think
