It was so great to see my country being highlighted. Hope you enjoyed your stay ❤
I did, very much. Thank you for watching
Right. I feel the same. Lovely video ❣️🇹🇹❣️
@@JacquelineTravels which airport did you eventually fly out of. And when coming back to the US how was customs and immigration handled.
9:12 She stopped it just when it was about to show Beetham.
Nice, but the background music is so annoying when you’re talking.. 🤨
Yeah, way too loud but it's nice otherwise 😊
Yayyy welcome to 🇹🇹😊 looks like you stayed at one of the newest boutique hotels - the Brix. And you saw the Magnificent 7 around the Queens Park Savannah, the last building you showed was the famous QRC College. Looks like you visited Massy Stores supermarket in Maraval nearby, all great stuff! Unfortunately, doubles doesn't really taste good reheated; it's a local street food which should ideally be had on site as soon as the guy hands it to you. The taste would definitely be better. Really glad you and your crew looked like it was a relaxing and interesting time here, hope you return again someday and visit maybe Maracas beach for bake & shark, or other locally indigenous foods and things to do 👏👍😊🇹🇹
That’s where we were. It’s a great hotel!
The doubles were still good but you’re right, the fresher the better!!
Those desserts, the hotel and the lush green landscapes. Beautiful vlog!!
Thanks Joni 😊
Yayyy! Back to my home 🇹🇹 lol I found your channel when I was prepping to become a crew member with the local airline. That was so long ago: I got hired, did training, worked my dream job, and left already 😅 Now I live in Europe so it's nice to see this little taste of TT :)
I absolutely love that you're taking pepper sauce home! It's a must-have when flying out. And you stayed right near my old neighbourhood! I wish one of your layovers could be in Tobago! You'd love the beauty of the island.
Side note! A tip for the doubles catering next time - Ask if you can get the chickpeas and the barra in separate storage. That way you can heat them separately so they're ideal and plate them with your own style.
I think you shared with me when you started flying! How is the change going for you? Where in Europe?
I should have taken 10 bottles of pepper sauce home 😂😂😂
One day I will make the trip to Tobago, it looks gorgeous!
May I ask why did you leave and how long did you work for them? I'm also Trini.
Thank you for visiting our beautiful twin island 🏝️ T&T 🇹🇹
It was a very enjoyable visit
Thanks for highlighting an enjoying our Country you have an amazing Job the way u smile could tell all the greats to YOU
So nice of you. I really enjoyed my time in Trinidad!
Thank you for sharing your travels; stay safe and enjoy Trinidad and Tobago.
thank you for watching!
You were excellent love the fact that you appreciate our country, food , hotel and the tour around . You are an awesome amazing person ❤❤❤🎉❤
Thank you Kenny 😊 I really enjoyed my time there!
@@JacquelineTravels OMG you very welcome Jacqueline I'm so happy to hear from you and enjoyed every moment of your video . I use to live close to the hotel you was at which was Maraval road but before that I use to also live in woodbrook which is close to the American Ambassy ,I could have from from my aunt home to the the Ambassy and the Queens park savannah . I'm in NYC for 25 years now . But I will be looking on your video and you also welcome to share some with me . I really enjoyed your spirit it's positive.
Loved your video thank you All the best from T&T 🇹🇹🇹🇹
Thank you for watching!
Lovely vlog thank you Jacqueline! 🛫
Thanks Frank!
Great video, Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 look gorgeous definitely on my bucket list ❤
Thanks Chelsea 😊😊
Great vlog. The food looked great & the scenery was very pretty. Have a great week. 😘
Thanks for watching Debbie! Have a wonderful week!
@@JacquelineTravels Thank you Jacqueline. 😊
Great to see you made it again to this part of the neck of the woods 😊
You’re an honorary “Trini” now 😉 … got to get over to Tobago some time on one of your future trips though 👍
Ps - “Doubles” being a street food, is best served fresh, so if you ever have a request for it to be served on board, try to have it specially delivered as close to your departure (ETD) as practical. “Gourmet Doubles” is even becoming ‘a thing’.
Hope ‘Trinis’ took excellent care of you and the rest of the crew during your visit 😊
Can't wait for you to come back, there's so much to explore here in Trinidad!!!!
PS: its curry chicken they call it in Trinidad, in Guyana they say chicken curry lol
Loving your vlogsss🥰
Thank you so much! I’ve been asked to work flights there about once a year so hopefully I get a chance again!
I enjoy “traveling” with you weekly! Thanks for sharing your adventures 😊. The food looks amazing as well. I was wondering if every so often you would put on the screen what it is your eating. I’m just curious as it looks delicious 😋.
I will absolutely do that. Thank you for watching!
Oh WOW Jacqueline! This was a great video! I was in Trinidad for carnival in February (Im from there and I go back every year) and I miss it already. You captured the green lushness of the place perfectly and it is soooooooo nice to see that you managed to get the curry and the doubles for the flight from the FBO; it could have been a bit of a hassle to do it another way. By the way, the music for this video was on point!! Looking forward to your next adventure.
I bet carnival was so much fun!!
Thank you for watching Lou Lou, I hope you get back soon!
It's still dry season. The rain doesn't last long. Just duck in a doorway and wait a few minutes then carry on! 😊
It was quick!
As a frequent traveler ( never really experienced bad/horrendous behavior ) , I frankly think your job has to be the toughest serving and managing people in the tube. I love watching videos of exotic places we have not been to or places we missed. The tropics is beautiful
Thanks for watching Eliman! I really only had 4 or 5 really bad incidents with bad passenger behavior and I have been flying for about 10 years. It had gotten much worse on the commercial side lately, and I am so glad I am not a commercial flight attendant anymore
Love these! Im on the brink of giving up on my four year flight attendant career but your corporate da vida are giving me hope to maybe give it one last try?
I'm glad you're learning from them. It's a tough industry
What an enjoyable stay.
It really was
The view from the Brix looks good
It really was!
The room is beautiful ❤️
Video is very well done.
Thank you very much!
Curry chicken. Lol. I love the content here. Sweet T&T trust that you had a wonderful stay ❤
Noted 😊😊
I did have a great stay! Thank you so much for watching!
You are so pretty! 😊 i hope you enjoyed you doubles and your trip!
Thank you. I really enjoyed my time there!
Doubles by a street vendor are preferred, and with the right chutneys, it is really delicious! There are so many things g to try but the "Maracus bake and shark" should be next on your list... enjoy life and be safe!
Looks like a great place for a layover.
It was enjoyable!
I love it when you layover (anywhere) in the Caribbean. Thanks for showing us around. I will second two previous comments. Please either caption or tell us about the food that you are showing, and the volume on your background music could be about half as loud and still be effective. It is hard to hear what you are saying when you are competing with the music.
Noted! I’ll add food captions. I love that idea!
Nick you would love it the beaches the food the fresh air man go for it .
You look like a great person yourself buddy .
Jacqulina thanks ur stylish style how soft ur voice magical everything every view of nature fantastic thanks u sharing ur life time experience. May English not good don't mind plz.
Thank you very much for watching 🥰🥰
In trinidad, we say curry chicken, not chicken curry...lol, and you can get doubles hot on the spot at the local food court right outside the airport. If you at the main terminal. Old terminal don't have those amenities...
My home...Trinidad❤❤
It was so nice to visit 🥰
Welcome to our sweet island of trinidad ......
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Awesome to my country represented !
😊😊
Hope you enjoy your time in my country
I did, very much 😊
Beautiful vlogs
Thank you Luis!
Those little key lime pies look delicious! 🥧
They were 😊
Dammmn! This lady is pretty ❤
Looks like a great destination. I have a few questions to ask you. What does FBO mean? Do you always fly with the same pilots?
FBO is fixed base operation. It’s the private plane airport, everything gets handled there.
I fly with the same 4 pilots assigned to my plane. We have multiple planes and bases but we have our planes assigned to us as crew. The flight attendants can switch planes but the pilots have to have the type rating to fly on the other planes in our fleet
Come back for carnival and hiking
I would love to experience carnival! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about it!
the only way to eat doubles is on the spot.. like right there next to the doubles man.. Take away doubles is not good... What happens is that the bara soaks up all the water from the channa which ends up making the bara soggy and then the channa itself dries out. This is why we have a huge culture of people eating doubles on the spot. It makes a big difference.
So yes definitely if you are recommending doubles in your future trips to the pilots.. Tell them they need to go directly to the doubles man and eat it there lol.
Roti however can be take away , but try to eat it within a reasonable amount of time.. and dont microwave!
Now another point, not all doubles men and Roti makers are the same. Some are very bad.. and some are top of the line. Usually the posh places don't know anything about where the good doubles are or where the good Roti is. I've had doubles in trinidad that taste terrible.. And then others that you can't just get enough of.
I would say going on Aripia Avenue which is not to far from where you were staying and having "Sauce" doubles is a good one to go by ( they are literally called Sauce). They are not the absolute best but very consistent and would recommend to anyone. For the top of the line ones stuff like Pier One doubles man, Roxy Doubles man, Long circular doubles selling by the people house backyard.. would be my best ones for this side of Trinidad that you would be close to.
For roti.. it has to either be DONS roti or HOT SHOPPE roti. Everybody else is inferior ( on north west coast of trinidad).
I love the thorough explanation! They do taste much better on the spot but luckily my passengers still enjoyed them!
I wanted to make the same comment since the doubles served looked cold. I would include roti too however because they also get soggy if left in the ‘to go’ packaging for too long…some other must try dishes is the ‘bake and shark’ sandwich, and Trini-style bbq which has not had much exposure as jerk chicken but it is miles ahead in flavor by comparison, oh and same with Trini KFC amazingly delicious 👌🏽
Doubles are great but some vendors (not all) also have the other Indian (hint) treats like ‘aloo pie’, ‘eggplant pie’, ‘saheena’ and ‘pholourie’ all of which are also vegan and highly satisfying…you into pastries and baked treats? Trinidad has some of the best; visit any local bakery and literally get everything 😂
Its curry chicken in trinidad n chicken curry in guyana
You have the perfect job! Get to travel to some gorgeous places! Does your employer pay for the motels and places you eat?
Yes, meals (of a reasonable amount) hotels and transportation are covered by my company. It’s standard across the board. Some crew members get a per diem for their meals
The background audio is too loud. It's drowning out your voice
Noted. Thanks
3:06 i tried to order plantain but they didnt have any. how the hell could a big posh hotel in trinidad not have plantain. thats like saying "welcome to jamaica, we have no sun and sand"
That’s what they told me 🤷🏻♀️ I really wanted some plantains
I am roger. Live in toronto but born in Trinidad. I'm very disappointed with my island. Nothing is done on a professional level. In fact, as an oil rich nation, Trinidad looks like a shanty town. There is no technology there.

Please be very Careful next time visiting Trinidad. The crime rate is very high, actually it's the country with the highest murder rate per capita in the world. The present government tends to turn a blind eye when coming to crime rate.
I did read to avoid going out at night. Thanks Jai
