I just recently found out that diana has sisters so I started looking it up, I like this version of her origin, but I also really like the original version where donna was a little kid saved from a fire by wonder woman and was brought to themiscria and was adopted by queen hippolyta and raised as an Amazon, who then traveled to the world of man and made a place for herself on the teen titans. It's like how I grew up listening to the origin of diana being sculpted from clay and then brought to life by the gods and given gifts to be a powerful Amazon, then they changed it to her mom slept with zues and then got pregnant and had to raise the child by herself. The first version seems more magical to me. And then theres the fact that with the first version of donna being adopted she had to earn her place among the amazons, who are powerful and magical and wise, and shes a normal person at this point, but donna does earn her place and grows up to be one of the most powerful warriors who makes a name for herself, and is a loving sister to diana. Pluse I love imagining sisterly moments between diana and donna. Sorry this is so long and rambling, just my thoughts on what I found out about the origin changes. Thank you if you read all of this.

That was a pointless death. Season 2 was stacked with promise but failed IMO. Deathstroke should have been the heavy throughout and not have elevated Mercy they way they did. Not necessary. Slade could have even manipulated Mercy somehow as he does most people. What a waste.

This origin leaves out the reveal that Diana never returned to her island home after she initially left with Steve Trevor. So, who were these “Amazons” or the reality of these events? Now that Doomsday Clock has Diana starting her career around World War II, all of these events are undone. Also, this origin story conveniently leaves out an obvious contradiction. Donna was created as force grown into her 20s as a no nonsense killer warrior. When did she have time to be a promising teen running around with Robin, Speedy, and the rest in the past before her creation as depicted in Titans Hunt’s revelation of the Teen Titans secret history..?
I always had some grudges with the new 52. Especially in this situation, I’m sorry, but there isn’t even a world where Donna Troy stands a chance against Wonder Woman. They just aren’t on the same playing field. It’s like comparing Nightwing to Batman. Nightwing is great and all, but he’s no Batman. No different here…
Her origin there was she was made to equal Diana and overthrow her so it still makes sense however physical strength doesn't equate to mind and wisdom, that's why Diana will always be more powerful than Donna.

Agreed! She's my FAVORITE DC character. I'm a bit depressed because of Donna's death in the Titans season 2 finale. It's bad enough that we had to wait 20 years for the Marston family to give their approval of Wonder Girl/Donna Troy in cartoons and live action shows. Now, I feel robbed because the live action series only gave us two seasons of Wonder Girl. Hands down, Donna's the best WG of all!

Well once again DC messes up Donna Troy's origins. How could a character who according to this "created from clay" origin have been a founding member of the Teen Titans? Even by comic book time standards it doesn't work. She was only created a year or so before the Titans rebirth series came out and yet she was a founding member of a group that supposedly had been created years before? Doesn't really matter. DC, which I've always thought meant Deplorable Continuity, is about to launch another series wide event called Infinite Frontiers. In it it's going to be revealed that everything and anything that ever happened in their long history of comics is valid. So all of Donna Troy's origins DID happen for example. I think the idea here is that DC is giving up on continuity entirely and just will publish anything that they think is interesting and if it doesn't fit with previously established histories, relationships or characterizations...well it's just the way it is.
This is the horrible, awful, nasty, no good reboot origin from the New 52. Donna Troy's original backstory (from the 1960s/1970s) was by far the better one - she was simply an orphan rescued from a fire by Wonder Woman, brought back to Paradise Island to be adopted by Hippolyta as her second daughter, and granted a small portion of each of the (thousands of) Amazons' powers through Amazonian science, thereby making her equal to the Amazons in power levels.
They needed a good Wonder Woman villain to serve continuity in the New 52. She from First Born to Donna Troy. It was a move to bring in Donna Troy without having to the original story. Its like what they did with Diana & Superman being a couple instead of Clark & Lois, and Diana & Steve Trevor. They were trying to do something new
That was deep! That would make an excellent movie. That actress on Titans would kill it. I'd pay to see that. The narrative was awesome.
