Ofada is actually named after the town of Ofada, located in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State where it comes from. The sauce is called "Ayamatse"
Wow.. I stay in nigeria, yet feel like i could visit this place. Wish i have made so much money, in order to come tour in NYC.. Hopefully one day, my US dreams shall materialize... Nice food nd nice edit, kola was amazing explaining everything.. Proudly Nigeria, Igbo kwenu
Very similar to Caribbean foods...jolof rice looks really good...the chicken ...plantains... tomato stew . .just awesome!!!...nice as always...have a safe blessed day David Peace.❤❤.
Oh boy David, you made me hungry again. And I have a dental appointment this afternoon. I have to go make a good breakfast now. The food looks amazing. Next time I go back to New York City. I’m a check out some of that Nigerian food. I’ll be going next month so looking forward to it.
Now this is a proper way to showcase nigerian food…most people just show and eat jollof rice and feel they have eaten nigerian food, you haven’t started😂😂
Really David? I live in NY and been wondering where to get authentic jollof rice. Thanks for this. This Lagos TSQ looks amazing but touristy. Want traditional. Would you say it’s traditional with a twist of westernization cuz that bar is calling me. Lawd knows that little bowl of rice is a tourist portion😂😂. Oh that was fried rice with the peri peri chicken. Already told my husband would like to go. I’ve never had palm oil. Just this morning was watching a young lady in the Philippines eating Peri peri chicken but did not like it compared to others she’s had. Oh puff puff is like pylori or beignet. Nice comparison to understand. Omg David. Thanks so much.
I actually really like the food at Lagos TSQ. It can get crowded during club hours so you may need a reservation, but the Nigerian items they have are very authentic to me. They are pricey but it's expected for TSQ
Good job! Why does the guy from Lagos keep saying stripe instead of tripe, I just wanted to point that out, don’t mean no harm. I personally know Divine flavor, he’s my husband’s friend and also they have a restaurant on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn right after Barclays Center coming from Flatbush Ave. Great job David.
Please what is the address of the restaurant, the other one I know the address of that one You are making me hungry, I went to Nigeria in July this year and I ate a lot of food and I didn’t even want to come back to America any more, I love Nigeria food
As a Nigerian and an introvert, their bubbly personalities left me dizzy, especially the first man, Kola, shoving the zobo drink straw in his mouth. But all the same, good show 👏
Every business has their market. They cannot all do the same thing. I can go to both depending on how am feeling on who am hosting from out of town. For birthday, i ll go to the second one. For quick lunch, i ll go to the first one
Did i just see Vegan Jollof Rice on the logo. 💀😭 tf did he use for the chicken stock. Remove that vegan, people who don't like flavors don't deserve food - Uncle Rogers
The real Jollof rice is actually SENEGALESE it takes a lot of time to make and the taste is far superior compared to the Nigerian or Ghanaian version. I really advise you to try our Senegalese thiebou dieune. Big up to my naija people ❤
The fact that it's a Nigerian restaurant and they have other nationality (Staff) cooking and making Nigerian food is amazing
Ah swear
This guy strategically positioned himself ( the business) close to the Nigerian embassy. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

My mouth was literally hanging from his explaining what ofada mean. And did he actually say Ewa agoyin normally goes with rice? 😮 Nice one

Ofada is also a small town in Nigeria where the recipe of the rice ( Nigerian local rice) originates. So the name is a tribute to the town
My hometown ❤
If i was the cameraman i would have said give me some of that 😂
thats a life saver when going to the naija embassy --the lines are amazingly long, and service unfortunately can be tedious.

Ofada is a town in Ogun State.
Oyebo di sweat but still the chop 😅😅

Jerk chicken is not a Nigerian dish. It is more Jamaican. Jollof rice...wow...real Nigerian dish.

Agoyin actually originates from Togo. Ewa Agoyin means Togolese (Agoyin people) beans. l
Which Nigeria name is colla?
He mean Kola
What is Nigerian 🇳🇬 food without pepper 🌶
It does not exist!!!
Nigeria does not have bland food!!!😂😅😊
@@angelicakweku5293 exactly we're not like East Africans dat have bland food

why are people´s eating rice with a fork instead of a spoon, is this normal
you eat jollof rice with fork. that the normal way
Likeee, it's so weird
It’s a western thing. Spoon is used for soups
@@Quotelife256what makes it the normal way, who set the rules?
Some "western" countries eat rice with a fork and reserve spoons for liquids, some Asians eat rice and even pasta with spoons

Hope you paid for all the meals eaten 😂
