Thank you so much for being here! We are continuing the Merfolk saga these next few days, and checking out the Timeless Metagame challenge this weekend! Additionally, we've got a brew for Pioneer and a new brew for Standard coming next week! 🐸
watching rn some things i got in mind: is unsummon better than into the floodmaw for this list? i dont actually see the lines where boucing your creatures are that valuable (maybe replaying tishana but its kinda of a gimmick ) but with the flood maw you could get rid of enchatments, walkers, everything else, also i think you should consider running pawpatch formation i play simic too and it solves a lot of problems you could have, the removal mode gets rid of bats, tempo creatures and DEMONS as they all fly, the draw mode gives you a food too, and the enchant hate one just gets rid of a ton of stuff AKA white enchantment removals and buffs
I know you won but at minute 10.05 you missed letha, if you tap the slasher with the second drowner, and next turn you activate the 3/3 land and use oko to copy one of the 3/3s you have exactly 15 damage, your opponent is tapped out and all blockers are tapped too
@@brunomenezes1410 Into the flood maw would work great here too! I can definitely see us playing it instead of unsummon. We have pawpatch formation in the sideboard, but I haven’t considered using it in the main board. Hmm, you might be cooking here! I will try some games with it!
@@magusofthefrog since you are leaning more into a midrange strategy rn, pawpatch main makes sense, as usually midrange have great cards who can target meta treaths and rn pawpatch checks all the boxes
Thank you for the kind words! It has been really helpful just saying out loud my thought process here - even if it doesn't always end with optimal play, it keeps me focused!
@@timothysinaga6971 Oh good games!! Boros auras is really strong and you played really well there, I got absolutely cooked. Thank you for your interest in the Merfolk deck too!
Tidebinder on the ward trigger was nasty there 💀 Just found your channel it’s awesome to see your dedication to this deck and how it’s evolved, keep it up!
@@TheYuri46 oh shoot I forgot to add one! Here you go, I keep this one updated to whatever current list I have: www.moxfield.com/decks/kY5YZ-2jXUe8eIjnVC5g6A Thanks for catching that!
have you considered just not playing green? it seems like its just there for cenote, I am experimenting with dimir now with automaton as another lord effect and black for removal spells
@@svetlanathehammer1984 I have and the green planeswalkers and green sideboard cards are just too good in my opinion. Green offers the best enchantment removal in this meta game where things like Annex or the Overlords are very popular! I haven’t tried Dimir yet though, so there might be something spicy there to test!

Love Merfolk
Fugutive codebreaker was in some monored decks before rotation, good to see it back
I was really impressed by it. Such great tech in the monored deck - you love to see it!
Very patient player. I love the detailed commentary on tactics.
