    One of my absolute favorite pianists. I never heard him live unfortunately. But His recordings of late Beethoven are the best. My next favorite for opus 110 is Gilels

      Did he ever do a recording of Islami Balakeirev i suspect he did but the Beethoven magic anyway you couldn't've heard of heard him live it was all seventy years ago wasn't it?

    Folks is this the Solomn everbody talks about? Is there anywhere else to get or hear some of his recordings? I never hear him played on radio now as radio stations seem to have a bias towards modern recordings. Like Rubinstein this guy has music in the blood.

      Thank god someone with a sense of humour smjile from Sydney Australia. I can play moonlight and the hole thing too but not this one though it doesn't sound so terribly hard. Did have the sheet music for it before i lost it. So often the way of things.
