Wow Looks like he really understood her pain and struggle. Unfortunately many men just took advantage of her vulnerability and collected her as a trophy of their sexual "conquest". Despicable.

Arthur Miller was much younger than he looked. He was only 11 years older than Marilyn, but looked like he could easily be her father. When they got married, he was 41 but looked 61

This was perhaps a reminder of the realities of past-30 women looking for partners. Usually it meant having to consider significantly older men. At the same time, past-30 women, if they had options, would still prefer same age group men (men older by a few years).

    • @lucaronson
      @lucaronson 6 месяцев назад +2

Naah in your 30's you start preffering men your own age. Older men are usually appealing when you're in your 20's because the younger ones still act like boys but after 30 men your age are mature enough. Arthur Miller was a famous playwright, that's what attracted her to him. She never liked ordinary joes, she wanted high profile men

@@lucaronson, you do not need to say "naah" to @fortpark-wd9sx's comment because they and you are not disagreeing with each other :). Both they and you, as preference goes, basically said "women in their 30s prefer same age group"; however, @fortpark-wd9sx rightfully pointed out that due to a lack of options, women in their 30s have to consider significantly older men, and I will add to that by saying especially if said women have children living with them.

Didn't he also abandon his own son with Downs Syndrome? Apparently had him institutionalised despite the wishes of the child's mom and didn't visit much or any at all. His son-in-law Daniel Day-Lewis had time to visit him but not the the dad himself..... ugh.

He was a P.O.S.....He says things in poor judgement about Marilyn but in truth he abandoned his child & wife 4 Marilyn!!!! Mr PERFECT PIECE OF CRAP..Typical man that wants a beautiful woman but doesn't understand her potential which was PERFECTION. Created her production studio & brand....Nothing ever was positive about him with Marilyn

Thank your this interview. I believe what Mr Miller stated is true. Marilyn Monroe was a sweet and very vulnerable individual. Abuse and abandonment definitely could cause her severe depression.

Marilyn had a lot of pain inside that she could not bear in life. Some people understand that, others don't and never will.

It’s nice to see Miller’s deep appreciation of self & of Marylin; of course, with time & space, it is sometimes much easier in hindsight to understand the who, from the where & the what, as they struggle to BE here now in GRACE & self-compassion. Sorrow from abandonment & abuses can run rough shot over your truth & your self is sabotaged by believing the protective EGO. Two VERY TALENTED BEINGS! 🎉😊

Ok so hes basically admitting he liked her cause she was broken ans then couldnt handle her cause she was broken

    HOW sad.
I don't know if this factored into her inner-struggle, but Marilyn Monroe was
classified as Colored back in the day. Both her parents were
Colored, and she was one of those who crossed the race lines.
She was so beautiful, admired by both (all three) main races in America.
I hope she rests in Peace.

please expound on that. post the links to some articles, photos of her birth certificate or something. because she does not look the slightly bit coloured. if sthg’s orange, then hella sure it’s not blue.

@@monicad99 In the not-so-distant past, in the United States, if a person had "any" African ancestry, they HAD TO BE classified as "Colored." IT WAS A LAW! and It didn't matter how white they looked.
During Marilyn Monroe's days, that law was still in effect, however, many that looked white defied the law and "jumped the fence" anyway, so to speak., especially women, because they were often beautiful and garnered the attention of White men.
You must be very young not to know this American history. It's very well known to older people. They may not even teach it anymore. But DNA testing proves it.
      Have a nice day
(American history is COMPLICATED and OFFENSIVE)

Bless all you the good news rejoice Jesus Christ the son of god is returning soon. The son of man and son of god had done wonderful then like helping the sick and injured, wake on water, cast out demons, feed the many, make the bline see, and raise the dead. Believe Jesus died for your sin with his blood. Buried for three days. An on the third day rose in a glorified body we to will have in the rapture. Repent your sins or face gods wrath of the great tribulation. There be 21 wraiths and if your there in this time don’t take the mark of the beast and accept death in faith to Jesus Christ. The mark be on forehead or right hand. Jesus love and cares about you he will help you feel that hole in your heart all he ask is for you to accept him as your lord and savior and learn about him. spread the message please........
