  • How to fold an origami Hyperbolic Parabola from paper - a design exercise from Josef Albers and the Bauhaus School. This is an easy and fast way to make this model, if you look at some of the other youtube instructions they show a more precise (and time consuming) technique. Give it a try yourself or with your students!

    it's Gerstaecker paper from Le Géant des Beaux Arts (a chain of art supply stores). it comes in a block of 25cm x 25cm sheets, 250 count, 70gsm. It's a nice sketching paper that we find works really well for teaching classes as there's lots of squares and they fold well.

      None of the above - how do you make them out of pentagons?

    Is there a way to exaggerate one side so that this design could become a table base?

    • @martingibbs8972

      If you make it from a regular hexagon, you’ll have 3 points on the floor, three points holding the tabletop.

    Hello. Im def. a fan... i was wondering about what kind of paper would you recomend :)

    • @ozok17
      @ozok17 5 лет назад

      Mónica Zúñiga - thinner paper makes it easier to be precise, but stiffer paper will hold its shape better. Also, you might consider noticing the grain of the paper, and maybe trying out some paper without a consistent grain.
