We humans aren't as fragile and soft as some of these videos make it seem. In simpler words, and perhaps offensive to some of y'all, if you're not too soft to ride then you'll do alright with solid tires. I just thought I should put it that way because it MUST be said. The amount of RUclipsrs who talk about solid tires in a negative manner make it sound like they got feet as fragile as tooth picks and so it made me kind of hesitant to pull the trigger and make the purchase but I can assure you that solid tires are not as bad as some people on the internet make them seem.
I had solid tires and went to tubed offroad tires because of the vibration and noise. The tubed where immediatly 10× better for that. Better grip, smoother ride. Go's 2,3km faster, and most important for me was the cushening of bumps in the road and a lot less sound. I'll take the little maintance with it,like you said, same for bikes,cars,etc... easy to do. Only thing you didnt talk about is the price difference and i think for some people this is important too. Next time i will try the ones without innertubes and see, hear and feel the difference but i dont think it will make and difference with the tubed ones. Great clip. 👌
Apollo scooters have split rims which makes replacing way easier. I don't understand why ever company doesn't do this. Tubeless tires will always be harder and riskier to replace. Owners want to feel confident in their ability to take care of their scooters for the long haul. It's one thing to see a demo online, it's another to own a scooter for years with mileage and maintenance
I have a CityPro 2023. I’d like to replace the tubeless “self-healing” tires with solid tires. Can someone recommend solid tires for the CityPro 2023? Size and likely aftermarket solid tires and the tools? I’ve found that Apollo customer service is foolish as well as one of their “certified repair shops.” Techy in Fort Lauderdale was a joke and not funny. I left the scooter with them for a month and both Apollo and Techy had excuses each week as to why they couldn’t fix a flat. I’m on my own. My hope is a DIY solid tire. I’m just guessing that a 10 x 2.5 inch solid tire will work. Perhaps an Xiaomi compatible solid tire or Sunmate 10-inch solid tire. Perhaps a steel tire lever set as well.
As a biker I’m aware of a plug system for use on tubeless tyres in the event of a puncture. This avoids the emergency use of slime and therefore the potential associated damage incurred.
Bought the emove cruiser from voro motors, both front and back tubeless tires were punctured within a month, him saying they’ll bald before real damage happens isn’t the truth at all
I have two Emove tourings and yes flats are a problem got a flat 2nd day we got our scooters to the point now 3 weeks in and now have to get a new tire and tube , so for me I love to be able to get a solid front tire for touring just to avoid flats all together even if there is compromise from the smoothness of the ride and some sliding
We hear you! We have been working on after market tubeless style tire for the Touring last year. It should be released soon. Stay tuned to our youtube channel or social media page for the launch!
@@VoroMotors I would love to see a pneumatic air tire option for the REAR wheel on the Touring!! Give customers this option at check out, please. I understand flats are no fun but I would prefer the increased comfort and grip since tire maintenance, even repairing flats, is pretty darn easy! I would pay extra if you made this available aftermarket!! Comfort is HUGE for me and the solid tire transmits too much vibration and not enough traction. I'm also not commuting to work, so my situation will allow me to deal with a flat with less inconvenience than some. To my eye, I believe the only thing required would be a small hole opening made on the outer edge of the rear wheel, so the valve stem (air filler) can exit (not sure if that's possible since the motor is close by). The front vs rear tire and rim size / mounting methods appear to be identical besides the valve stem hole but I could be wrong and the rear motor may well take up too much space to allow for that hole to be added, even from the factory. Now the opposite idea, swapping the front for a solid tire, is likely a simpler process. All these ideas are assuming the mounting method is equivalent for solid and tubed tires (pretty sure it is. Split-rim on both, right?). Just my two cents, and I don't even like pennies!
A reviewer should always mentioned if a scooter have splitt-able tyre-rims, or not. The Zero 8/9/10 models have it, for example. It's still gonna be a hassle to change tubes/tyres for customers without skills and tools - but at least it's gonna be a much smaller hassle. And bicycle-stores with workshops are more likely to help you out. Especially if you already have the spare-tube with you.
I'm 97 KG weighted electric scooter rider... which tire is suitable for me? Tubeless or tubed? I notice the factory wrote on my tubed tire "85 KG Max Load" 😒... Also, I feel my tubed tire get so hot after riding for 5 KM, is this because I'm overweight? Regards,,,
Great discussion. Can we buy a tubless tire and put a tube in it for scooters with split rims? The objective is to have a stronger tire for the scooter.
After watching this video I’d rather the old fashioned tubed tire. Easer maintenance and less of a headache to deal with in the event if must be changed.
My pure 3rd gen isn’t holding air in the motor wheel I was about to slime it hoping it would fix it but after watching this I’m 50/50 now am I just best buying a new tyre? Scooters only 2-3 months old and it’s a tubeless tyre
This video helped me understand more about choosing the right type of tire for my mober md6. Do you have an episode for different brands of tires. The best one. Oh btw i subscribed. Thanks
I see this debate on so many reviews and frankly don't understand why. I have owned trucks, vans, cars, motor bikes, pedal bikes, ebikes... all of which have pneumatic tires. If I get a puncture, I just fix it and get on with my day. Yet on a scooter I have the option of a smooth ride with lots of traction or the bone rattling experience where I feel every pebble, stick or crack in the road. I understand the inconvenience of a puncture but then again I don't go smashing up and down kerbs
I have the Emove Cruiser and the tubeless pneumatic tires create a sweet ride in the city. The cruiser is amazing. Especially for the price point. That being said, the thought of changing a tire is a buzzkill. I wish there was a dealer in Seattle. Than I could just use Uber to limp back into port after any issues.
@@Joe_Friday AJ has made a video of the process. Prying the tire off with tire spoons wrenches and leverage was hard to picture in my apartment. Pot holes, rough roads and mysterious glass objects in the path and the cruiser never skipped a beat. Goes smoothly through the city.
take a clamp clamp down the tire in three locations, then use a zip tie and or heavy nylon twine and tie is squished, it will then put the tire in the center groove of the rim and allow you to pull over the tire ! took me three days of messing with it to come up with this solution, took me less than 5 min to put the tire on once I did this, three spoon tire tools used

Can I change the front tyre of the Touring for a solid one as well? I am really glad that the Touring has a solid tyre at the back, and good suspension. I am looking exactly for a comfortable zero maintenance scooter and if I can also put a solid in the front and just know that I will never have to deal with flats, that would be great. Can it be done?
I had the opposite question, if the rear solid tire could be swapped for pneumatic air/tube tire for increased comfort. I've decided this won't be possible since the valve stem (air filler stem) needs an exit hole from the interior to exterior of the wheel, like it has on the front. The front wheel has an exit hole, the rear wheel / motor does NOT seem to have this hole (although I will know for sure next week when it arrives) since it was designed for solid tire. Now for your situation, the solid wheel seems to be identical in size and the mounting procedure (split-wheel) should work fine to mount a solid tire on the front wheel. BUT - you would then have that open hole in the wheel (where the valve stem used to exit) that needs to be plugged with a rubber plug / waterproofed. Otherwise water and dirt could get stuck inside. I have not attempted either alteration but to my eye, I think it would work to put a solid tire in the front and seal that hole. Then, never get a flat! But your comfort level, traction, and handling will change to some degree - probably a tad worse. Certainly more vibration will come thru, which is why I would be interested in the rear tire swap to air filled but I'm not interested in drilling any valve stem holes in the rear wheel where the motor lives... even if it MIGHT be possible (since the hole would be on the outermost edge, potentially being clear of the motor)!! Either way, you would need to fully waterproof any changes made and it could easily VOID the WARRANTY.
I have a Xiaomi 365. I had CST tyres with tubes, driving around Antwerp, Belgium, a large city. The amount of punctures was just ridiculous, I swapped them for solids. Fixing an electric scooter tyre (like wou would with a bicycle tyre puncture) on the road is almost impossible.
@@fumetsu-950 I didn't know they had tubeless tyres for it. Nice, also easier to fix if they ever do get punctured. Getting those tyres back on, oh boy. 🙄

I installed a solid tire on my rear wheel for my emove cruiser now it sounds like I have a flat every time I ride I know it’s not the motor because when I lift it up and press the throttle it works fine and I hear no noise from it after a while the motor sounds sluggish. I don’t know if I should switch back to air tires but I can’t find them in stock. I don’t know the weight limit on that tire because I can’t find that information it’s it even on the sidewall.

I bought some slime from voro motors. The orange one. They didn't mention anything about replacing motor. Maybe different slime? It's the orange armadillo one.
Hi. Question. Could a tube be put in a tubeless tire?? My tire size is 11-4.00×4. The problem is that I can't find the tire size that I need with a tube.. Only in tubeless I find, my rim is not for that type of tire....
I’ve seen good reviews on a self sealing inner tube called Foss. Think you can test it out and get them to manufacture scooter sized tubes, if they save customers from getting a flat that don’t want TL + slime?
Good morning 🌄 I am looking for a (( good scooter to get back and forward to work with a turn signal and other things but I would love to keep you in mind AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BLESS DAY.
So I have a really heavy scooter prolly 75lbs lol I ride in the bike lane just going to work going like 25mph is the solid tire a good choice or should I go tubeless
For “tubed” tire I always use tire liners such as Tuffys. Kinda tricky to install but after installation you can be confident your chance of flats will be greatly reduced compared to slime or more expensive tires; plus they can be reused once the old tires are worn out. For tubeless tires, use Stans or Orange Seal and add glitters for extra sealing power( no kidding); always bring tire plugs just in case you hit a nail or screws on the road.
good advice dad you sound exactly like my dad used to love it, bet you save every nut and bolt so just incase you ever need that specific nut or bolt you have it typical dad move always thinking how things can be made better you dont drink beer or st agnes brandy do you anyway good advice diy dad have a good one
@@2wheels4lifepowers38 luckily I saved the bolts from a trashed bike. I installed a solid tire and the vibration shook my two bolts off while riding. I was able to find one bolt; and when I got home, I found the bolts from the trashed bike fit. They were even better quality and had nuts with plastic to keep in place.
I got a flat on my rear tire on the 2nd day of owning my scooter, so im going with solid. Id rather not have to change my tube every few days haha sounds like madness. Ill take the lil bit of ride quality reduction
Can a scooter that has tubed tires be changed out with tubeless? Example: I have a Razor e300 with 10in tires. Can I change out those tires with tubeless tires?
You answered your own question my man. Do you plan to ride more often on or off road? The street tires will feel much more planted to the pavement but obviously will have less contact with the ground on gravel or small rocks. I have run the off road tires on pavement and they are noisy, noticeably less stable feeling and will wear out quickly. I have a set of both but run street tires 90% or the time for city commuting and only swap to the off road tires for a specific off road adventure that I plan in advance.
i think when i buy a scooter i will buy full replacement sets in both solid n tubeless. it snows here every year n i will need that grip. during summer it hits 100f plus n i wud stick with solid tires for those seasons. only thing i wish there was a quick release for swapping out tires
Hi Michael! Tubeless tires can definitely be patched if needed, though we always say that if you do have a puncture in your tire serious enough, eventually it will need to be replaced. However, we often recommend using tire sealant both as a preventative measure as well as a good temporary fix. We have one we use that we find works best for our scooters and is superior to other tire sealants on the market. You can find it on our website here: www.voromotors.com/products/doctor-orange-tire-sealant Hope this answers your question!
@@VoroMotors Thank you. The scooter I'm looking at has a tube in it. Can I replace it with tubeless tires? Also, I see yall sell many accessories; what can all be changed on a scooter? Instead of a thumb throttle, could I replace it with a trigger. Also, im taller could I replace the pole or use an extender? This is my first scooter and will be my primary transportation until I'm done with school. I want to make it comfortable.
Hi Michael, Typically, we do not recommend replacing tubed tires with tubeless ones, or making other changes that the scooter is not designed for. If you have a Cruiser, yes! You can switch between a twist throttle, thumb throttle, or trigger throttle. However, we can't speak to other models of scooter if you did not purchase with us. Feel free to reach out to our team at support@voromotors.com if you have any further questions. We're always happy to help!
i have the evercross HB24 . im in the city and have flat tires every so often because of all the broken glass on the streets. do you think i should change to solid tires?
Owning and maintaining an electric scooter shop for the past 3 years- Solid tires are great if you are going under 15 mph and they don't heat up. HORRIBLE and will melt or roll off the rim if on a faster scooter or a heavier rider,,, NOT recommended at all for high performance or long ride duration scooters. I have found that a front tire is a good solution for a solid tire if not a drive motor-
The solid tire does go bald very fast, my emove touring will wear one smooth in about 300 or so miles , while it will still work and roll down the road it will not have traction, especially on a wet or damp road.
Depends some motors have brackets or clamps that are made to be aired up after its put on. I found it nearly impossible to get a solid tire on. And even if same size its impossible to bolt it back together with the bolts because its too big. Solid tire 10 x2.5 and normal tube was 10 x 2.5. Its basically really hard and some don't seem made for solid
From what i have read you need a special rim to go tubeless and if your scooter came with tubed tires you would need to replace both the tire and rim to go tubeless.
Is there an off road or semi off road tyre that you would recommend for the emove cruiser?? I have found a 10 X 3.0 off road and semi off road tyre in Ali express and also a semi off road tyre with spikes on amazon. The only issue I see is swapping the tyre out.
Yes you can use slime on a tubeless tyre. You won't have to replace the motor as the slime will not enter the motor from inside of the tyre as its a sealed unit. Also slime can be removed easily when dried, just peel it off add a new tyre and refill fresh slime. If you don't believe me then think about this why do they sell slime for car tyres which are tubeless also why do cyclist who go tubless on their push bikes add slime before pumping up the tyres. Its simply will add more protection to your tubeless tyre. Have a look at slime in mtb tubeless tyres on here to see the guy ride over nails yet the tyres are still holding air as the slime blocks the holes.
Is there a wheel currently that has the benefits of a solid tire without being punctured anymore, and the comfortability of a tubeless tire? You can say, its a bit of a hybrid of both wheels.
Hi William, You're right! You can do that as well for a tubeless tire. In fact, as of late, all new tubeless tires for the Cruiser we sell come with self-sealing gel pre-applied: www.voromotors.com/collections/electric-scooter-parts-and-accessories/products/tubeless-tire-emove-cruiser

@Yehuda Jayce It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
@Jon Randall No problem xD
noooooo, didn't know that i shouldn't slime the rear wheel sooner cruiser, but so far no big trouble with the rear and motor
Dude. Without slime, how do you repair flats on tubeless tires?
What a great explanation, man! thabks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
I bought some slime from voro motors. The orange one. They didn't mention anything about replacing motor. Maybe different slime? It's the orange armadillo one.
Would be nice to know the energy savings 👍
Dumb question. If I have tire with inner tube. Can I upgrade to tubeless? Or tubeless tire need completely different rim?
I have a hard time with tube tire because I dint have tool or skills to replace it like a regular bike. No repair shop around San Marcos Texas
Hi. Question.
Could a tube be put in a tubeless tire??
My tire size is
11-4.00×4. The problem is that I can't find the tire size that I need with a tube..
Only in tubeless I find, my rim is not for that type of tire....
So is a 8.5inch fat tire better then a 10 inch tire like the one the hi boy s2 pro has
So the pneumatic tire got a flat because i got glass in it
I’ve seen good reviews on a self sealing inner tube called Foss. Think you can test it out and get them to manufacture scooter sized tubes, if they save customers from getting a flat that don’t want TL + slime?
Very informative
Good morning 🌄 I am looking for a (( good scooter to get back and forward to work with a turn signal and other things but I would love to keep you in mind AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BLESS DAY.
We love your upbeat personality! thank you for all of the videos and information!
But he said dont use slime on tubeless tires. I dont understand.
4:17 can definitely relate! 😂
Great vid. Thank you soo much
Where can I buy a 9" tire?
Veteran EUC's just announced their Abrams Edition will have Tubeless Tire. What do you think about that? Should we think this is good or not?
Can a scooter that has tubed tires be changed out with tubeless? Example: I have a Razor e300 with 10in tires. Can I change out those tires with tubeless tires?
Thank you for the videos.
Any thoughts on off road vs street tires?
Which one should I get for my Wolf king gt?
Thank you
You answered your own question my man. Do you plan to ride more often on or off road?
The street tires will feel much more planted to the pavement but obviously will have less contact with the ground on gravel or small rocks. I have run the off road tires on pavement and they are noisy, noticeably less stable feeling and will wear out quickly. I have a set of both but run street tires 90% or the time for city commuting and only swap to the off road tires for a specific off road adventure that I plan in advance.
is the wolf king gt compatible with 11"pmt tires?
Is there a tubeless 10 x 2.5 tires for the nanrobot d6+ that has split rims??
i think when i buy a scooter i will buy full replacement sets in both solid n tubeless.
it snows here every year n i will need that grip. during summer it hits 100f plus n i wud stick with solid tires for those seasons.
only thing i wish there was a quick release for swapping out tires
Tubeless are like car tires. Can they be patched as well?
You can find it on our website here: www.voromotors.com/products/doctor-orange-tire-sealant
Hope this answers your question!
Hi Michael,
Typically, we do not recommend replacing tubed tires with tubeless ones, or making other changes that the scooter is not designed for.
Can you fit solid tyres on a vsett 10+
is 25km/hr enuf for no skid idw to fall
i have the evercross HB24 . im in the city and have flat tires every so often because of all the broken glass on the streets. do you think i should change to solid tires?
also you didnt explain why someone should want a tube tire , over tubeless!!! besides that its an amazing video! thanks
Solid tires if you don't drop off curbs or care too much about feeling every pebble. The tube take alot of the impact
Can I put a tubeless tire or Solid Tire, on my nanrobot d6+?
How do I replace my brake cable?
Owning and maintaining an electric scooter shop for the past 3 years- Solid tires are great if you are going under 15 mph and they don't heat up. HORRIBLE and will melt or roll off the rim if on a faster scooter or a heavier rider,,, NOT recommended at all for high performance or long ride duration scooters. I have found that a front tire is a good solution for a solid tire if not a drive motor-
Can I put solid tyre on pure air
Why not go off road with solid tires what’s the risk can’t pop anything, I’m confused
Hi VoroMotors,
I have size 11 inches wheels with inner tube on my scooter. Can I use or replace with the tubeless wheel?
Is there anything you can add to a tubeless tire to make it more puncture resistant?
Yes slime
I put slime in mine.
need to lower the music, can't hear you competing with the music o.O
What would happen if I painted a thin layer of line x on the inner tube?
do these three tires fit on go trax xr elite
Thankx.... full tires 4 me. 😂❤
Your grate man thx!
The solid tire does go bald very fast, my emove touring will wear one smooth in about 300 or so miles , while it will still work and roll down the road it will not have traction, especially on a wet or damp road.
Where can I purchase solid tires for the emove cruiser?? I’m tired of replacing the tubeless tires once I get a puncture.
@@Jtzkb no haven’t :(
Can you put solid tires on a heavy scooter?
Depends some motors have brackets or clamps that are made to be aired up after its put on. I found it nearly impossible to get a solid tire on. And even if same size its impossible to bolt it back together with the bolts because its too big. Solid tire 10 x2.5 and normal tube was 10 x 2.5. Its basically really hard and some don't seem made for solid
My tire says it's "non-pneumatic tubeless tires" so does it mean it's air or solid?
@Green Heart ok thanks
What kind gets the most miles for charge?
Which ever has less weight. Ultimately a solid tire is going to put more strain on the motor and probably use energy more quickly.
What about "foam filled"?
Great video! I have an Apollo Explore with tubed tires... not sure if I can upgrade to tubeless or not.
From what i have read you need a special rim to go tubeless and if your scooter came with tubed tires you would need to replace both the tire and rim to go tubeless.
Also, sold tires isn't always fun going over a railroad tracks...ouch
I'm sorry I tried watching this video because it looked like it has good information but i struggle with all of the constant movements
Are solid tires safe at high speed?
No
No, in my opinion solid tires aren't rideable in most cities with bad roads/sidewalks.
Is there an off road or semi off road tyre that you would recommend for the emove cruiser?? I have found a 10 X 3.0 off road and semi off road tyre in Ali express and also a semi off road tyre with spikes on amazon. The only issue I see is swapping the tyre out.
Do the oem tires not work well on trails?
Yes you can use slime on a tubeless tyre. You won't have to replace the motor as the slime will not enter the motor from inside of the tyre as its a sealed unit. Also slime can be removed easily when dried, just peel it off add a new tyre and refill fresh slime. If you don't believe me then think about this why do they sell slime for car tyres which are tubeless also why do cyclist who go tubless on their push bikes add slime before pumping up the tyres. Its simply will add more protection to your tubeless tyre. Have a look at slime in mtb tubeless tyres on here to see the guy ride over nails yet the tyres are still holding air as the slime blocks the holes.
unfortunately, a lot of stupid people are listening to what this hippie, lib "AJ" from Oregon is mumbling out. Ever look at his FB page? SMH.
Is there a wheel currently that has the benefits of a solid tire without being punctured anymore, and the comfortability of a tubeless tire? You can say, its a bit of a hybrid of both wheels.
You can always add slime to a tubeless tire. If the slime adheres to the rim just cut the tire off. It's only rubber.
Hi William,
You're right!
I want tubeless and am struggeling to find one in my price point of 2k that can do 40mph
Tubeless with gel are great until you ride too far on a flat & roll tyre off inner rim now you cant reinflate it easy
AM getting an tube less
Doing loads of research PRIOR to purchasing a PEV. Tubeless is a no brainer
Hi AJ, can you put a tube in a tubeless tires to function correctly? For instance like the emove tires.
No.There is no hole for a valve on the tubeless tire.!
i have buy an visett 10+ and its a great smart vehicle for every on who dont overweight buy visett9+ you can pun full teir on him
can i put a tubeless tire on a mantis pro?
I want to know this also
I've heard you can, but you'll still need to use a tube, since the split rims aren't air tight.
Put AJ in handcuffs and he wouldn't be able to talk!
How do you fix a flat on a scooter tire? Who does it? Bike shops? I have no idea…. I’m sick n tired of flats on my bicycle…. Solid tires only for me… Air filled tires on anything isn’t reliable long-term. Go over broken glass & you’re done.
