Agreed. As well, the black stripe tricks the eye to seem slimmer and cut more as a waist. The skims long black dress would look amazing underneath both versions of the black beaded dresses.
I think it has more to do with the manufacturing process. If they were handmade, there wouldn't be a racing stripe. I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be to sit on anything hard while wearing them.
It’s practical and honestly it would be so uncomfortable to put your arms down if you had the beads running down the side. The friction of rubbing under your arm is scratchy and irritating

I understand that it might not look as you imagined, but I think the gaps on the sides of the pearly dresses are to accommodate the arms. I’ve had a few shiny/sequined/embellished tops with the texture all around and always ended up passing them along because they irritated the skin on my arms. For the long sleeve, I imagine it’s to prevent collision between embellishments on the arms and on the dress, and the damage they could cause to each other.
If it were for the arms, they would just not have beading under the upper arm. The panels are there because they're working with machine made panels of a set width. The bigger the size you get, the bigger those gaps are, as she demonstrated. It's about them not being bespoke garments. The pieces these are trying to emulate, the designer garments, are all hand-beaded which is why those don't have gaps in the beading.
That pearl dress looks very uncomfortable to sit in 😂 Otherwise they both look lovely on you

You looked stunning in both dresses. The „rally stripe“ made sense for the long sleeve version, since the beads on the sleeves would ruin them on the sides or they tangle to each other 🙃

My guess is that they make the dress part first and then they either add sleeves or close the shoulder seam and that's why the sleeveless one also has the stripe
@@elenpena42564 it actually has to do with the size. If the material is the same then it absolutely has to do with the size. The fabric is beaded and stoned before they cut the dress pattern out of it. That is why the stripe is actually wider on the long sleeve dress, I believe she mentioned it was a larger size. Also @vvn8066 mentioned the tangeling issue on the long sleeve version even on the sleeveless they would expect a bag, jewelry etc. and yes keeping space at the side seam where they would expect rubbing will help with tangeling or losing the bead work. A coture gown would have the beading added by hand after completion and therefore would cost much more as well. Beleive me I know. I made competition Dance Costumes for years and if you wanted stones or bead work added I could charge 3 to 4 times what I would for a costume with no stones. Hand placing each stone and quality stones are EXPENSIVE. I could easily need nearly 3000 stones for a showstopping small adult costume that would run around 150 dollars US, just for the stones not to mention the time needed to hand place each one. A 200 dollar costume would turn into a 500 dollar costume easily with the addition of quality stones.
As long as nothing rips or the pearls fall off, it's probably fine.

Really like the pink set! The "stripes" down the sides of the pearl dresses are to do with manufacturing IMO. You can't sew over any of the pearls or sequins, so there will always be a gap where the embellishments aren't. For a home sewist that gap is not so large, but I can see how it would be larger for mass production.
And someone doing it at home can add the beads to the fabric themselves so it can be fitted to their body AND still have the beads going in linear columns rather than being all wonk a donk. The garments all these knock offs are emulating are all hand-beaded... and hand-beaded for a reason.

The sleeveless overlay dress is beautiful. Can't imagine how sitting on it would be.
With the pearl dress my guess with the side strip is for the putting in on comfort, so there's some more stretchy part. And I liked the sleevelss one better on you, 1st one looked shapeless and too big, 2nd one was perfect. And for Revlon, I personally have the blow dry brush, it's wider, so it doesn't curl much, but I LOVE it, it makes my hair so soft and shiny!

For the Revlon hair dryer /curling "iron"... Press open the bar first, then curl the entire lock of hair around it, THEN close the bar down and slowly run it through. Otherwise, it won't dry (or curl) your hair. It's technique, honey. Your hair is gorgeous!!!!

The racing stripe is used to make you look more narrow. There are lots of dresses with that type of black stripe down the side to give an optical illusion that your body is more narrow. Love the sleeveless one
Fun video. The pink set, I have it in beige/white and love it, and always get so many compliments when I wear it. I like the idea of the curling brush, and I find I always have to pin my curls up after to get them to last. The beaded dress looked great on you!

I have the Revlon blowout curling iron and I find what works best is to put my section of hair in first and then turn it on(medium) and then turn it off when I am ready to release my hair. Yes it is extra work but it’s worth it in the end. Also the more you do it you will get faster. I like it better than my shark flexstyler.Also I dry my hair completely first before curling.
The pearl over dresses were a cool concept. It would be a fun way to change up different dresses. The "racing" stripe on the sides is understandable, but doesn't look good and for me the uniformity of the pearls in lines didn't look as nice either. I also imagine sitting for any length of time in them would get itchy.

The gaps in the dress overlays are because they're machine made panels vs bespoke & handbeaded to fit your body proportions. So, unless you fit their smallest size, you will have those panels.
Those hot pink shoes look like Bratz doll shoes. You should check out Hot Chocolate or Irregular Choice brand shoes. You want unusual shoes that are actually comfortable and cute... that's where it's at. But those hot pink shoes go really well with that top you're wearing. Very neon Bratz doll.
