Dude im so happy you said ''fly the module you want most'' that is honestly the best tip you can give new players, i get so tierd of seeing youtubers and DCS discords recommending certain modules as ''the easiest'' thats ehy i always make a note to tell new players: ''if someone tells you a module you should play, dont listen to another word they say. Buy what you are interested in!''
just you saying that makes this one of the best videos for new players to watch.
If you want a new module (-> plane), just wait for the holiday sales. Especially on Halloween and Christmas-Sales, you get most Modules for half the price! Stick by the established modules, as for newer modules are mostly without any discount for the first two years.
For beginners Flaming cliffs 3 - a good number of planes, most with the same controls, low fidelity so does not tax your computer, gives a good introduction to radar/missiles/ground pounding/carrier landing, depending on the plane, and on sale it is a $25
I dont normally recommend FC3 as it is a bit to arcade for my taste. It can be fun but you dont really get the full experience. But each to its own :)
@@dcsheinlein The flight models are fine in FC3. Just pointing that out.
The F-16 as a module is 'very arcade' if you have an 1:1 F-16 Hotas I'll add.
Great Video
PS I'm Norwegian and heard you had a Norwegian accsent thats cool
Well done for mentioning the Marianas as a free map too. Suprising how many videos or even commentors still say it only has the Caucasus map free.
TBH I would argue that any full fidelity aircraft IS a game within itself, and very often worth the purchase price as it will be replayable for years to come.
Great vid so far, I'll edit as I go along but so far big thumbs up!!
Edit: Ending scene prior to the Outro is 🤌💋
Really nice video 😀
ALSO: Once you consider to buy a module you can try everyone of them one at a time for free for a limited time (2 weeks, I believe). AND: Your first purchase is 50%. So you may bundle up some modules (eventually after you tried them).
Just bought the F/A-18C, F16C, A-10C and the Jeff with that 50% off xd, couldn't be happier
I didn't want to spend much on this hobby...... so now I got a pimax crystal, rtx 4090 and a 6dof motion platform....😂
not bad, but u do kno that HOTAS u showed just now isn't the X56 right?
yeah I relaized to late. Had a bunch of different pics up as I had originally planed to talk about different ones and added the wrong one in during editing
The su25-t you get base game is full if no?
7:10 16 Series gpus also work good with dcs in my experince. Having an ssd is one of the most important things aswell. For the hotas part i dont think having an hotas is needed at all, Keyboard and mouse is usable but not worth using, Controller is my recommendation for starting because its cheap and alot of people already have it and it works really great when you know how to use it, Upgrading to an hotas is recommended if you feel like the game is worth spending more money on tho. This guy is an absolute beast with a controller www.youtube.com/@Tuuvas/videos so i recommend watching his setup guide if your getting into dcs and dont want to spend money on a hotas yet, Other then that really great video
