I was 15 when the band broke up. I started listening to them when I started playing guitar so I was already 21. Falling in love for Oasis music and not the idea of it I love Oasis stuff as much as NGHFB (new and old stuff) and as much as Liam's solo music (the Beady Eye albums too).
If you listen to the music with no prejudice, trust me, you gonna love this two guys solo careers.

I was 15 when the band first was in the charts. I remember this one lad that hung round with us, he always trying his hardest to be better than everyone.
I had Oasis on my Walkman, asked who I was listening too and after hearing the name started taking the piss but then I told him to have a listen. From that day on he never said a bad word about anything I was listening too after that.

That's because Liam has a team of professional songwriters basically writing the same type of tunes that made Oasis popular. It's familiar and people like familiar. Noel is a songwriter. He's out of the Oasis box and wants to experiment with different stuff. Naturally, Oasis fans are going to find it off-putting. So I agree with Noel, f**k them. To each his own.

Hearing Noel at a gig recently ask the crowd "Are there any Oasis fans in the house?? This one's for you" before launching into Black star Dancing, was illustrative of the spite Noel has for his fans. Some people will worship anything he does, and think everything he says is hysterical, but that comment was telling. For all his pontificating about how 'happy' he is now, he sure seems angry alot of the time.
It's just a shtick, man. Are you new to the party? Noel has always been a lovable misanthrope. A witty grouch. Even during Oasis. And guess what? It was never taken too seriously. It's just Noel messing around. Noel is also jealous because his younger brother who didn't write near as many oasis songs as he did and is a less talentet musician and singer is doing better a present in their solo careers. That must really bother him because noel could still keep his image up as the more clever, cool, smarter and more talented brother but now with liam's last 2 albums and Noels recent coments it seems to me like that image of noel being the more clever and nicer brother when he possibly isn't.

Yes Noel is by far the more talented brother cause he was the better songwriter, guitairist and i would even go far to say he was and still is a better singer than Liam his last album was fairly poor except for 1 or 2 songs and sail on is the only good song he realised this year. He seems more and more angry in interviews when being asked about liam and his success as a solo artist and that clearly bothers him. Oasis (mainly Liam) made 90’s working class casual clothes cool, and I’m glad it’s stayed, it’s easily identifiable with football culture as well, which is a massive part of British culture.
Some of Noel’s dancey solo stuff has been pretty shit, for a so called Oasis fan to say it’s good is either deluded or an arse licker.
Both have done some great tunes on their own. Noel is a writer first, singer/guitarist second. Liam is a singer/frontman first, writer second. There’s nothing wrong with that, but does illustrate what a force they could be together again.
When I think of Noel thinking about Liam, he’s probably imagining 2000’s angry Liam, not the Liam who seems to have gone back to his old self but a lot more mature. Liam’s tweets have been a bit stupid and don’t help, but it’s only to get Noel’s attention. Honestly, what does Noel expect? He pretty much ignores him but slags him off in every interview.
Noel won’t get the band back together because that’s the only thing he has over Liam, it’s power, he knows Liam wants it so much and will do anything to keep it from him.
From an oasis fanatic I always believed Noel was the backbone of the band as he was the one who wrote and composed many of the iconic songs we still play long after the band have finished. To an extent I still hold this belief
However I think now finally Liam had stepped out of Noel’s shadow doing his own thing and Noel’s ego can’t handle that hence he only ever says negative things about Liam

It’s funny I was never that big a fan of oasis back in the day. I grew up on the Beatles,Floyd,Yes etc.
But knew their 3 or 4 big songs. Thought they were kind of cool and had a vibe. The last year though I started to learn their catalog and was amazed how many great songs they put out. A lot of variety too. Not a single style or type cast for the most part. Then thanks to RUclips started to watch the interviews all through the years. It’s funny how Liam always came across as a snotty jerk while Noel seemed more of a serious older guy while both could be pretty obnoxious on the stage. Especially to each other. So it 2019 and all tweet storms aside Liam comes across kind of sympathetic and sincere and Noel as witnessed by this interview a little ungrateful. One funny note is that I’m partial to Noel because I can understand what he’s saying. Liam’s way of speaking leaves me often clueless to what he just said.

At the end of the day, yes we all know Noel wrote some (about 12) exceptional songs. But Oasis were Oasis because of the style and attitude Liam brought. End of story. Love Noels solo stuff, some great songs, not so keen on Liams solo stuff tho (cheesy, lazy, lyrics). But Liam always will have that edge with the style and attitude. IMO, of course.
