Trump didnt pay taxes for over 25 yrs. He paid 750 dollars once. That was it. There was a loophole in tax laws that allowed trump to tack his tax debt onto the following years tax debt. He did that for over 25yrs until he was caught for tax fraud on his real estate deals, that's when his scheme to evade taxes showed up.
Just shows how entitled he feels about cheating the tax-payers by not paying his share. All of trumps fraud charges involve cheating somebody, because all of his business deals are basically just elaborate ponzi schemes. When the money stops cos folk realise its a sham deal, a whole lot of folk lose their money and trump just declares bankruptcy. He's got 6 bankruptcies under his belt, and over 200 plus people lining up at any one time, to sue him for non-payment of goods and services rendered. Trump and his merry band of prospective inmates, are finally having their lies and bs exposed. Quite stellar.

With jury trials, judges can't just send a person to jail until they are found guilty at their trial. Bc Trump's lawyers didn't request a jury for another one of his cases, the judge had to decide on guilt or innocence and a sentence. Keep hoping that Trump will be found guilty by the jury in this hush money case. THEN the judge can sentence him.

He was held in remand. Remand means not convicted but in jail. The courts give credited time "good time" for any time served while not convicted.

The first 5 months served was a joke to the justice system, but to only get just another 5 months for his second perjury offence is beyond ridiculous. It should've been more like 5-10 years minimum.
Especially as the first sentence was lowered from _years_ as part of a plea deal to testify truthfully, which he didn't do ... The original possible sentence should have then been handed down.
