Still singing, still playing better than many half his age. No longer young and singing like an older man; nothing wrong with that! Maybe not so fast over the fretboard as in times past, but the fluidity and the signature lines are still there. No reason to stop yet, Eric- you are a long way from the sad performances we have witnessed from some.

The tour is too much for him. He should only pick up a guitar in public on exceptional occasions. That would keep his nimbus. But it's his decision and his life...
For the love of God, Eric, finish the time you have left playing a Gibson guitar! Lifelong fan here since the 60's, his playing is still so eloquent, but the tone is muddling his genius with a Stratocaster?
