The skies scream out so quietly. Is it a whisper? I can really hear them now. Still unsure how this will all play out, but ready for whatever comes. In the light of day or still of the night, I will listen... - Linda
NOT RR playing guitar, this is a cover. CORRECTION...origional 1978, The Last Waltz Suite: Out of the Blue, this version used in a 1999 movie soundtrack.
@@jaminrice ok you've made me look silly, I dont have to listen, the wicki search is enough. But my point is valid.... unknowns do covers and give the impression that it's the original artist just to get more clicks. As for RR i'm a big fan but his guitar work was never too flash, so it looks like he'd been practicing between 1978 and 1999.
Thanks for posting, I love this song.
Plays a beautiful guitar one of the best
So incredibly beautiful!!!!
RIP Robbie!
Beautiful! Sady, Robbie is never mentioned with the other great guitar players and he certainly should be.
don't give underdog Canadian his due.
Like you, I'm amazed at how his name doesn't come up in listings (e.g. Rolling Stone, Guitar, etc.). I love his playing
get real ...this is a cover. BTW...RR is just an alright guitarist
@@ianburton8050 whom is he covering?

Where is Robbie's voice on this incredible tune? His voice is what makes it genius.
Rick Danko did the lead vocals.
@@kingstonseanno it’s not. It’s Robbie Robertson.
@@ludocipriani I didn't realize that! His mic was off for most of The Last Waltz, but Out Of The Blue was recorded in studio after the concert.
@@kingstonsean Robbie’s best vocal performance in my opinion…
@@ludocipriani I agree.

Reminds me of Dire Straits or U2's "Basstrap"
Why can't I find a recording of this sound with the Band singing it?
Dagney77 There's a double album by The Band called The Last Waltz. It may have it.
