*Another helpful video, thanks.* I have the A5X so it maybe be different on the A6X2, I maybe wrong, but @ 12:09 _'I'm guessing'_ that the tool you've chosen to use as the highlighter is set as something other _under the hood._ As I'm sure you know... you have to tap the tool once to select the pen and then again to bring up the option to choose the highlighter. It's a mistake I often make myself... yet again, the A6X2 maybe different than my older A5X. It'll be a great day when they add the _'link functionality'_ to PDFs and ePubs, at least for me.
It might actually be a difference between the devices. My options in the note taking section for tools is only needle-point pen, ink pen, and marker and the marker is the closest to a highlighter and I did double check and that was the tool I had. So that would be interesting if the devices have a difference there. As far as the linking in pdfs and epub, I completely agree! That would be very welcome for me as well!
@@Graf-XTechReviews It sounds like they've ditched the _'freehand Highlighter'_ because they expect A6X2 users to use the inline tool to highlight text, add notes and Digests, it makes sense really as you're doubling up on a tool, possibly cause a little confusion with new users. With the older A5X I have both options, but the inline method is so much tidier. Thanks for the reply, it's appreciated.
Well the pdf in the video is like 3,000 or 4,000 pages (something in that vein) so unless you mean something significantly more than that, then I’d say yes, yes it does

It’s possible with images that the refreshing would be slightly laggier, but it shouldn’t be significantly different and it should be able to handle it easily
Only if the PDF file is your template for the note, but you can’t copy from in a note into the pdf reader. Otherwise within a note, you can copy and paste anything or cut or move it.
Does the supernote companion sync offline? The app is about 1gb and needs an account :/ I'm currently using KDE Connect but haven't found an offline method yet
No the companion app needs to be online to sync. You can just use a thumb drive if you want a completely offline solution, but otherwise I believe you need some kind of internet connection
There is an “X” on the top corner of the box and that will make it disappear. It’s basically just trying to show where in the pdf you are zoomed into, but if you push that button, it will disappear

Yeah so the easiest way is just to follow the steps in the video to get the pdf on the device. The way I got a pdf of the Bible is I literally just googled “NKJV pdf” and it was like the first result
I put a pdf version of it and that works for me, but you can side load apps on the Supernote now, so if you have the .apk file of the Bible app you want, then it should be able to go on the tablet. Just know it’s not optimized for an e-ink screen so there may be some annoyances when using it
I just ordered one of these with the standard pen and Navy blue canvas yesterday for college. I am half way through the semester and trying to refresh and regroup during fall break week. I'm looking for a better way of organizing my crazy scattered notes from all the different classes. It would also be nice to have a whiteboard to sketch out quick math, programs, or kanji on. Do you have any tips for setting up the device for those uses? I currently use Dropbox for my cloud.
Welcome to the Nomad family! That’s awesome that I was able to help you make that choice! I would definitely utilize the folders for your notes so you can categorize things and then in the notebooks themselves, definitely use headings so you can easily get back to certain topics. It’s my favorite part about Supernote and it’s sooo useful! I believe you can have your notes sync to dropbox as well by going into the settings -> sync and select the option from there. If you would like, I could work on a quick setup video for the Supernote if you think that’ll help you out!

I am uploading all my textbooks as pdfs onto it now. Thanks! I am subscribed and will definitely watch any other videos you come out for uses for the Super Note! I have been using a note for flash cards as well. I just put the question on the first page, swipe to create a new page, write the answer, swipe for a new page, place the question, swipe, answer, and so on. I then started at the beginning of the note and quizzed myself later as I swiped through. I have been nonstop writing notes in it from my studying, making flashcards, filling out my schedule, and transferring documents, and pictures of physical documents into it(it helps to turn up the brightness and contrast when importing pics of docs). If you think of any other productive ways that a college student could use this I'll definitely try it out. That itself might be a good topic for a video. A deep dive into use cases of the Super Note for a college student. Every student should buy one of these! I think the biggest limit on ways to use this is one's creativity and imagination.

For me I’d do the the Supernote, mostly as that is what I am used to, but also for the fact that it can access OneDrive and your Microsoft work calendar as well if you’d ever need that kind of integration. The Remarkable would still be a great experience though so you can’t go too wrong with either.

Supernote said it has been delayed to a third quarter release. That’s all we really know so far. I don’t know one way or another about the infinite canvas. As soon as the A5X2 is out I will be making a video on it!

Yes, any annotations and markups you make will be on that document so if you sync it to the Supernote cloud and partner app then you’ll have access to it or if you just export that file, all the annotations will be attached. Let me know if that fully answers your question!
There could be a couple reasons for that. Like if you found a pdf of a certain kind of paper that you wanted as a template, or a pdf planner and you wanted all the writing tools in the notes app. So yeah it has its uses, but so does putting them in the reader as well

Oh good! I was about to let you know that it does do that 😂 yeah, personally I think the software of the Supernote is just leaps and bounds better than reMarkable. And yes, I’ve spent soo many hours prepping for my TTRPG campaigns and honestly the Supernote has helped! I’m actually working on my own TTRPG with some friends of mine. Yeah I’ve still been liking the size! It’s been working very well. All I did was look up NKJV pdf and I think it was one of the first things that came up. I remember that it was free for sure. If you have any troubles finding it, I can try and look for exactly where I downloaded it from, but I’m not too sure off the top of my head
Hi, I'm having problems. The NKJV PDF is showing up as a Word doc in my SN when I go to open it so it gives me a blank screen. On the partner app it shows PDF but when I open in SN it's formatted at a word doc so it's not working. Why would this be? So it's the same PDF your using for NKJV but not transferring as a PDF. Strange
Yeah for what I do, it seems like a good size. I was in the market for a smaller tablet right when the A6X2 was coming out so I totally went for it. But for some people and certain things it definitely can feel small
@@chrishamilton1189 I tried two different boox devices and they both were very annoying to use for me. The software was clunky and it didn’t feel as optimized for what I wanted to do on it. I also think the color displays don’t look that great and the frontlight adds too much of a gap between the screen and the glass.

How to you look up words with in the PDF
I don’t believe you can just search any word on the pdf, but I will check on that and if I find out differently, I’ll let you know

I just learned about e ink devices. In your opinion, which would you prefer to take to a board meeting, the Supernote device or remarkable?
