It's absolutely terrifying how much distance the bear can close in so less time. When the bear is in 100% attack mode, no shouts and gestures can work. I have seen it. However this is looks to be more of bluff-charge-and-see-what-happens behaviour by the bear.

He and his girlfriend were killed in 2003 by a bear and I believe part of the kill, or at least the audio, was caught on camera. So it’s definitely not a wild notion to believe this bear came back to attack. God bless!
