Thank you JB for knowing how to use the controls of the guitar before doing the demo. So many guys don’t. Amazing tone and great playing to. I am now in the process of finding my Comanche. This vid really helped.
I bought a Comanche online without ever even playing one because you just can’t find them. I have had it a year now and I am still blown away by it. It does it all and the pickups really are dead quiet. I can’t recommend this guitar enough!
i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Kylan Rory Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I bought a G&L Comanche at a guitar store in Nashville about 6 years ago and it's the best guitar I have ever owned or played. So many versatile sound options and I love the neck. This guitar stays in tune and that means a lot to me.
@@MrDonovant Yes, you can get a really nice Strat tone with the out of phase sound in between pickups just like a Strat. But I like it better because it's a slightly fatter sound than the Strat.
Peter Tichý does the semi hollow sound much different ?? Man I want one I might have to sell all my gear to get one which is probably silly cuz I don’t like getting rid of guitars but they are replaceable squiers although the play great lol
Great playing and you did a good job for the video and so that you can really hear everything very well. I would love to see you do another vid using a semi-hollow Comanche playing the same thing for comparison. thanks.........and if you have played a Semi-hollow comanche....what did you think about it compared to this one.
I've got a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Comanche 2020 in Natural finish and I just can't get used to it for some reason, I don't know if it's the maple neck because of all my other guitars having rose wood neck's it just feels too slinky, like my fingers slide to easy all over the neck. I've never had a guitar with a varnished neck before and that may be the reason I am having problems getting used to it. I have been trying to sell it but I can't find anyone who will pay what I want for it 1200.00 I paid almost 2 grand for it a almost 2 years ago and I've barley played it. I wonder why an American guitar and a nice one like this won't bring in more than a grand in brand new condition.
I'm a big Comanche fan, and you really described the guitar's tone well! I agree about the 2 and 4 positions being a lot more useful than on a normal strat. I think it's because the Z-coils have a lot more mids in general, so you can still cut through in a band setting. My demo: ruclips.net/video/Xs2ks1QTLAw/видео.html
Unlike a lot of the Comanche/S-500 demos, you've dialed in a tone that's not as "metallic" as most other demos. I have a S-500 and it took some experimenting to get a tone I liked. VG demo!
JB Eckl do u like the 500 or Comanche best? Cuz I am loving this Comanche sounds like more bassy strat n I love strats more than anything I have a squier now that is actually nice but i want a nicer guitar debating on gl 500 or Comanche or going complete opposite direction a strat since I have one already but I’m not a les Paul guy so I’m kinda stuck n weighing options out watching reviews because we don’t have local music store there’s one that carries like 4 of the same peavey raptors and then in with a few Ibanez rgs but that’s all. Feel like an rg would basically be the same as my strat too n my head saying go completely different you have a strat but my heat and ear is saying strat is where it’s at lol only other sound I like off hand is epi 339 Can’t afford the Gibson 339 right now. Jackson n charvel great too but still strat and I’m not playing much metal as of now y am I ranting on RUclips you ask? I could use all the input and advice I can get from players out there who have tried these models . Last thing is use to not like sgs but they grown on me but I wish I could put my hand on all these models n try for myself but it’s 2 hours minimum to anywhere that carries them so afraid I may have to order online
Damn that sounds fat it sounds like strat but bassy I love it wow wish I could afford one I’m not a fan of the gl headstock but what can ya do I want that bad boy
Very awesome demo! We are proud to be partnered with G&L here in Louisiana!
Awesome tone, crushing yet sweet & refined
love the G & L sound

Sincere and genuine review - thanks
Love the tones, love the look, and love it’s versatility. Thank you for demoing this guitar for all of us. I desire to trade my quilted Strat for it!
Thanks, great demo video - must say it sounds very powerful and the tone is fantastic!

What a cool guitar!

Can you eq it to get (“scooped”) Strat tones?

I have custom USA G&L Comanche semihollow and this guitar is my darling!!!! This guitar is Leo's master piece!!!!!

G&L make great guitars. I Love the sounds I get from Leo's pickups.
such a great axe
Great video
Very cool! I saw your demo on the Line 6 Variax too. I have the 20th anniversary Variax. Can get some neat sounds out of it!

How does the Comanche's neck pickup sound compared to a Strat?
that thud man
Between 2:06 & 2:12 I think the word you were looking for was 'Stratocaster'.
Does this one have an ash or alder body?

@@brucelk19 I never saw this comment, sorry! I love both types of pickups, and the alnicos on the Legacy too.

Hey JB!
That Comanche sounds amazing! What amp/pedals did you use for the demo? Thanks!
I need a Comanche!!!
PhFat tone, it's double fatt.
Punchy
Color selections are disappointing though. White with a rosewood board, or green, would be nice.
Those are humbuckers not single coils.
They’re G&L’s z-coil pickups... two half single-coil MFD pickups wound opposite so that together they’re hum-canceling.
I won’t buy a guitar that hums
