This is the way a Marduk concert SHOULD be!!!! I have seen them twice now with a european audiance rarely anyone bangs their head -.-. It's a fucking disgrace. I was practicaly the only one with the exception of 3 people perhaps that made any noise during the concert.... Marduk deserves a croud like this one every gig!
I actually saw them in Japan by a total fucking accident. Our band was doing a little over seas tour and I ran into their drummer and was like holy shit! He got our entire band backstage and the Japanese fans were fucking NUTS! One of the greatest live shows I've ever seen.
Yes indeed. Not quite sure why people in Europe and such doens't feel the same freaking energy while seeing them. I believe because is much more easier for them to get the chance to see Maeduk anytime during the yar. But for us is like a battle command. A trigger, just like that.
I like moshing and Marduk give me the rush to mosh especially in songs like christraping black metal, gospel of the worm, souls for belial etc and so do other black metal bands. As the blast beating etc does pump me up!! So I don't see why there isn't many moshing or lack of energy.. I mean the bands are usually energetic so I reckon the crowd should engage to.. But you don't have to obviously hahaha!! I'm going to Marduk tomorrow (29th september 2012) so hopefully the crowds good that way!!
@Devil's Daughter I 100% concur with you on your view on listening to black metal. I need to have full concentration or be in a dark room to fully grasp it. Something about the sound or message that we need to have constant attention on. Hails!
you are correct in assuming that idiots have alway's been a part of "the metal culture" I could spend time explaining it more, but you wouldn't understand it now would you........
I can not agree, Marduk wasnt available for me in the last two years, since they were not even close to a city I life in. I went to Belgium over 900 kms to see them live performing. Other then that, to generalize about the audince is stupid and a sterotyp. The bigger the venue is, the more people might see Marduk, but additionally the more are NOT into Marduk's music. Play on a small venue like the one in this video and you'll have your great audince. I had this often with kreator in the past.
I think mosh pit is part of the Thrash Metal or Punk culture... but not of the Black Metal culture at all. However, I think everybody is free to do whathever they fucking want in a concert, whathever the style it is. It's just how different people feel the music. Maybe when they listen Marduk they feel so excited they have to mosh. But personally, when I listen to Black Metal I don't have no desire to mosh... I actually have desire to be quiet. But, man, is a matter of personal feelings.
@@labra-dog I'm passionate about metal. I've uprooted my entire life to just play in bands here and there for x amount of time. but I never want to run around and mosh if I'm in a crowd. I'm there to listen. Nothing else. I stopped "moshing" when i was a child, running around with my class mates. Bands always like to play to a crazy crowd. But 9 times out of 10, if the musicians are in the crowd themselves, they just want to listen. Not pretend to fight with someone. It gets old very quickly^^ But to each their own.
Indeed. When you see a band like Marduk live, playing this tight and agressive you lose your fucking mind. Period.
One week ago, In Almeria, Spain, great concert
Indeed!

Man and in latin america is just a different vibe. Europeans to me are boring, metal is about passion.
