I am very happy that I have had the chance to speak with Bondora CEO Pärtel Tomberg 1:1, to reflect on the current state of the Estonian P2P platform. A rare public appearance, so I appreciate any support from your side to help this channel grow further. Lastly, what is your take on Bondora at the moment? And how do you assess the statements regarding transparency? Let me know in the comments! For further information on Bondora, visit: rethink-p2p.de/en/bondora-review/
I really like pärtel from the beginning. Unfortunately he doesn't say anything in detail about the portfolio. I loved that you asked him again and again. Very professional interview and I am looking forward to see bondora as a bank. Finally thank you for the interview! Lots of work. I am listen to the podcast via "podcast addict". Unfortunately in this app I can't give you feedback.
By the way. The interview with Mikk Metsa was so interesting. I learned so much about risk management and so many insights. Wow! You really do a great job! Thank you a lot ( I liked Mikk even more than pärtel)
I agree. I also enjoyed that conversation with Mikk. I guess it has been a combination of not knowing too much in advance and having someone who is willing to share a lot of insights. Been a great podcast overall!
It's a shame when the CEO is lying about the purpose of the banking license, that's Cristal clear even for the horse that the purpose of it is to get access to cheap deposits funding, the day they will get the banking license go & grow product will shut down immediately. Secondly the CEO after getting access to cheap money will cash out and go to Ibiza for a pension, meaning that the bondoros portfolio will be sold and bought using deposits or issued bonds that's 💯 clear.
I'm not sure what to think about a few of the answers of Pärtel. I also think that it was very good that you challenged him accordingly. On the other hand my takeaway is that they still know exactly what they're doing. I believe him when he says that the core of the investor base is interested in fixed deposit products and similar products that are more fitting to banks. I'm looking firward to see what they're cooking 🍳
They know what they are doing for sure. Although, I doubt their arguments are always made in the best interest of investors. I will comment more on this after my Baltics trip.
thsi go & grow product will fail just the matter of when, since the liabilities are short term but the assets are long term. Look back to lehman brothers.
