Insane video at close range of a tornado tearing through a section of Minden Iowa this evening
I stood outside and watched as it went right through Minden. I haven't seen one this big since 2015 in Texas. I hope everyone is found ok

@@jacob45415 to my knowledge yes. Minden is almost gone. I don't live far from there and That tornado was huge.

@@bethcompagnone6086 it was terrifying watching that tornado. My mom's boss lived there. His house is gone. His family is ok though. I don't know if I could bring myself to go see the damage done.

WOW scary and fantastic footages
It's our understanding a person died in this tornado. First, all of my sincerest hopes to the victims of this horrible tornado. We were behind you just about a half mile or so. If I had my main chase vehicle I would've come closer but it wasn't my vehicle. Your video captures that razors edge of thrill and horror we chasers race upon, eyes transfixed upon the sky. We chasers are a strange lot. Keep your eyes on the circling skies my friends and thanks for the stunning footage.

Its like you put the film through a black and white filter. Love the different colors/shades of film of the same tornado from different angles.
This tornado proved to be just bad as it looked on radar. Looking closely and you can see the even more violent mini vortices spinning inside the main one.
Elkhorn, NE and Minden, IA seem to receive the worst of these afternoon storms.
No....just fortunate that a two mile wide tornado decided to stay on the outskirts of sone of the mini towns that fill western iowa
It would have be worse if our towns were closer together and there wasn’t so many corn fields. my parents were safe thankfully but our neighbors farm got hit! I’m so sorry to the others who lost everything😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

There were a couple of smaller cells spawned to the right of the huge one.
It hit the edge of my town but one of the roads Minden is fucked currently(houses wise) and powerlines
