Being over 50 years old with so many concerts on tour in front of thousands of people on each of them and you can clearly see that they still give all the energy they have inside of them on each of the shows. I have nothing but respect, admiration and love to this band. Greatest metal band there will ever be in history. Fantastic performance. What a way to end a tour! Cheers for these gentleman!!! Long live Metallica!!!
Everyone seems like there at their best here. Rob is just always badass as always, James is amazing as usual, Kirk is playing extremely well, and Lars is smashing it. Awesome performance. Metallica rules 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
I attended the show in, Solnahallen, Stockholm, Sweden, september 1986, the last show Cliff Burton did. This song reminds me of, C.B. RIP brother!/Stockholm, Sweden
Very real, sad but true, has led me to the depression that does not reach what I want to clarify when I do not hear anyone, sit down below me to come to understand me and that is. Metallica. Isham Kader I'm 12 right now, listening to them since I can remember because my dad always played them. My whole life I've been a metallica fan and I hope I never stop being a fan
My first night in rehab I just sat back in bed staring at the ceiling blasting Metallica in my ears looking back on all the horrible things that brought me to that point. This song came on and I started crying like a bitch, that moment changed my life and I’ve been sober ever since. Long live Metallica!
One of the best live performances of This mighty song, saw the 4 Horsemen play this in Milton Keynes in 1993, what a gig , what a song what a FUNKIN band , best live band EVER
The world is thankful for having you, there are not many people as gifted as you are, I hope you'll find peace of mind in the sake of your family and the rest of the world so that we can enjoy your exceptional talent for a long time.
Kirk Hammet Really left me Impressed with This Performance. He had an Intensity that I haven't seen in him In a long Time. He fucking Killed Every single Solo, And didn't fuck them up.
Back in 1990, my college roommate and I would fire this up on Saturday morning before our college games. Most of the time, a second run was needed. I lost my friend, Luke, 4 years ago to cancer. Today, Big Luke would have been 50. Music is real. Music connects people.
Cliff Burton: Was way ahead of his time. Was the, by far, the most talented musician/song writer in Metallica history. Was THE EPITOME of a Metal head! Was the greatest head banger of all time. Was, arguably, the greatest Bassist in Heavy Metal history. Was why Metallica became so successful. Is loved and missed by millions of people.
İbrahim Boyraz i don't wanna jump onto the lars hate wagon but you made me do it. i gotta admit it was good at first, but the fills at 4:13 and 4:54 are pretty off-time. not that i mind excessive lars fills, it's just his style of playing but he can't keep up with the tempo while attempting to complicate the fills🤦♀️
First time i saw them live was in Stockholm september 1986 in Solna hallen the last show Cliff was on stage i was only 13yo an my dad was outside waiting for me in the car
One of the greatest contributions to human culture. When they dig us up from the dirt thousands of years from now this song will be everywhere on earth in different forms. Especially in our hearts. Thanks for your contribution to the top level of human civilization. Love ya!
Metallica... They are just getting better with age... You look at their contemporary bands... Megadeth, Pantera and even Anthrax.. they are all shells of what they once were, yet Metallica soldiers on (with largely the same lineup.. except for bass of course, but Robert Trujillo can hardly be called the new guy anymore.. he's in his 15th year with the band now!). I saw them last back in 92, and I would happily pay to go see them right now... And also.. James Hetfield is the baddest motherfucker in the room... WHATEVER room he happens to be in!
Cainan Cornelius I agree but you say Pantera is a sheet of what it once was. That's probably because the band broke up after their guitarist was killed almost 2 decades ago.
Kirk and Lars really are back with a vengeance this year - that was an almost perfect performance by Kirk in particular. Well done once again by the boys at Metallica.
He messed up almost 10 seconds in. He started playing a beat ahead until it was time to stop. I'm actually impressed that Lars didn't get distracted. Good job, Lars lol
I can't to say how i am feeling,i am living one great heavy war in my life, and is so good back to listen this music again,it help me to get up and get out of this busy in my life...
That Les Paul really does bring out the best of Kirk.
He fucking loves it
It's not the guitar....it's him ×0×
This Guitar is handling History and Spirit!
Discordo ,ele nunca faz solos tão incríveis como nas versões de estúdio.
@@andersonm646 Yes he did, before the 2020s Kirk perfectly nailed live solos.
It's amazing to see Lars getting into it, he's starting to seem passionate about drumming again, haven't seen that in a long time.
\M/
Kirk about playing guitar too. :)
Dombo Wombo kirk restarted to play thrash metal but he was still passionate
3:00 James's sanitarium side comes out🤘🤘
They've been slaying for 35 years omfg.
36 actually. Their first show was in 1982.
Iron Hammer 37 years ago is when the band was made
Next year makes 40 years of Metallica, its been that long already

27 years ago I heard this and realized I was not alone. Thanks, guys for showing us we had fellowship in loneliness.

"Welcome Home (Sanitarium)"
Welcome to where time stands still
No one leaves and no one will
Moon is full, never seems to change
Just labeled mentally deranged
Dream the same thing every night
I see our freedom in my sight
No locked doors, No windows barred
No things to make my brain seem scarred
Sleep my friend and you will see
That dream is my reality
They keep me locked up in this cage
Can't they see it's why my brain says Rage
Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Build my fear of what's out there
Cannot breathe the open air
Whisper things into my brain
Assuring me that I'm insane
They think our heads are in their hands
But violent use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
He's getting better, can't you tell?
No more can they keep us in
Listen, damn it, we will win
They see it right, they see it well
But they think this saves us from our hell
Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Fear of living on
Natives getting restless now
Mutiny in the air
Got some death to do
Mirror stares back hard
Kill, it's such a friendly word
Seems the only way
For reaching out again

One of my favourite build up/lead into a Metallica solo. Those first few notes Kirk players are killer!
Damn right!
Absolutely perfect, Kirk never sounded better and Lars was on it!
Dude...Kirk was way off tempo.
Lars sucked as always
My thoughts exactly..
To me it's passion, they make some mistakes but they are getting better, obviously for S&M 2
