I think there's a balance. You want to be confident, but you don't want to be over-confident. People often call cowardice, self-destructiveness and low self-esteem 'humility'. In my career, stock trading, that's suicide. You have to be confident and you have to have guts.
@Lane Romel I'm on the fence with his advice. Half of it, I consider obsolete crap. The other half is really good, such as, "don't trade what you don't know". That one's damn solid. Being humble works for him. Fantastic. Playing slow worked for him. Also fantastic. That shit doesn't work for me. I had a much worse start than him and it's nothing short of a miracle what I've accomplished so far. If I was any less erratic and aggressive, I'd still be sleeping behind people's stores. I couldn't care less about 'building up my charisma'. That shit died when I was 12. I'm a spatial reasoning powerhouse, now. Improve your strengths and ignore your weaknesses. You can't make a cat pull a sled and you can't make a dog climb a tree.
Being humble keeps you hungry, focused and on track. Also, makes one’s presence much more requested and appreciated, that’s something i’ve learned from my father. Thanks for the video Pat, i’ll never forget where i came from, doesn’t matter how successful i become.

You're truly the definition of "the littlest things matter".... maybe that was what was caused me to lose my warehouse that I told you about I got too comfortable which in a sense made me cocky even though I wasn't outwardly arrogant... Big thanks for this video Patrick, just last night I stayed up till 3am didn't know what to do since I've been falling short of what I know i'm capable of but I know I haven't gave it my 💯% . So instead of staying at the ceiling for the awnsers I got to studying my craft because I was stressing that i'm not good enough and next year might be the same but I see it's all part of the process of Recreating one's self I watch all your videos all the time, this is my first comment and I've seen you 3 times in person and didn't say I word. Because I felt that i had to be perfect and proven but I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and just focusing on continuing to Recreate my self, detaching my self from the outcome. I'm thankful to have a leader and influence like your self in my life.

This is so good to here. It confirms what I need to do. I’ve experienced some success and was told by another advisor that referred me to the firm I work at after coming off a great year that I could probably let off the gas a bit and be ok. He didn’t say stop working but said I could settle in some. I’ve toggled with it because I was afraid I’d go in the wrong direction by doing that. This past weekend I had some extremely successful entrepreneurs tell me the opposite. They said once you stop or slow down that’s when you have the decline. I hadn’t even told them about slowing down... then I just watched this video 2 days later. I think I’ll keep my foot on the gas. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for this Pat. I hate to say it, but everything dropped for me this past January 2018. For the longest Car Dealerships have hired me to do Social Media, Video and be like the Hype guy for there stores. I was doing really well with 8 dealerships under my belt in my home town and one day in January I was called into a meeting and let go. All year I've been having the hardest time getting out of this slump. I finally got back in the groove and signed up a few more dealerships and just within the past 3 months I've lost 1 and now down to two. Then a few weeks ago the owner of the stores I work with now called me into a meeting saying he was going to fire me due to not seeing the value in my videos. Today when going to drop off a invoice I felt like I was on pins and needles. Feeling like I'm at other peoples mercy feels horrible and weak. Every day I feel like there's a monkey on my back and its so hard to pay the bills and provide for my family. I know others are reading this and its not easy to share. There's this anger inside me now that I can't seem to get rid. When I look back I see where I've screwed up at, but now I'm trying to figure out how to get my confidence back. I have so much talent in the automotive business. That's all I've ever done since High School was work at Car Dealerships, but right now I've gotten in a mind set of hating the car business due to them being so cut throat with people. I guess that's just how the world of business is. People will shake your hand and say your apart of the family, but the first time you screw up your fired. Excellent message Patrick! You just reminded me of the importance of being humble. I am on the 2nd day of a 21 day vacation from my regular job. I must say its nice to be away. I am doing things during my time off that add value and when I return from vacation my job will still be the same but I will be better fit to navigate through the challenges faced day to day.
