I noticed that this made slight differences playing other games. However in CS:GO it only fixes a couple small stuttering issues that I have been having, especially when I'm in a duel against another player. Hope it works good for you! PS: Unparking won't damage or degrade your CPU in any way. Maybe it will increase the temperature but it will not damage your system.
For Windows 10 users, to find the regedit you have to right-klick the start button (bottom left corner), choose run and type in regedit. Allow Windows to search for it and you will end up with the same thing that Banana has at 0:53, then klick edit and find next, then you will get a window to write something, copy the code from the videos description (0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583) and then you will have to find "Low Range" and "High Range" open them both up and replace the "ffff" with "0". Then simply restart your Computer. Hope it helps. :)
Heads up to laptop users, more often than not your laptop's manufacturer will include tweeks to high performance mode which is VITAL to playing games to maximize FPS (charger pluged in as always). These power modes auto unpark cores when your laptop is plugged in and charging regardless if the battery is inserted or not. I highly suggest you dont try this on laptops however because while on battery, all cores are active and eating resources. You may loose anywhere from 20mins - 2 hours of battery life. If you are on a desktop or always have your laptop plugged in, then for sure try this because it helps especially in multi-threaded applications.
Cirq Yoshiya Yes and yes. Its totally safe an may help with microstuttering in games and weird 1-2 frame lags but in all honesty, you often wont need to do this as your laptop's manufacturer specifically inputs paramters into the mobo which explains various power draw rates. In short: If you are using a laptop, are plugged in, and are using "high proformance" battery setting- none of this is really necessary. You can try it if you experiece random lagy moments in game but those are often server/network related if you are usually getting 60+ fps on your machine in usual gameplay. *For anyone else doing this to fix stuttering:* Also note if you're attempting to do this to fix those random stutters (example you get shot and your game freezes for a second)- you may want to check out if your CS:GO files are fragmented. Basically, when the game attempts to load a file (for example the "counter terrorist win" sound file), and its located on the other end of your HDD- you computer has to spin the drive to that location and it takes a faction of a second to do this. That may be why you get lag. De-fragging places all the game files in one place across a couple memory blocks (depending on your HDD size/space). This means the disk spins less and it helps eliminate stutter.
I had a problem in search with the " Ctrl + F" (then here's the manual search) "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583"
I knew I forgot something when I realized my new and much better computer got oddly bad performance in games. This and the whole performance power setting thing gave results more similar to what I was expecting, thanks for the quick and to the point video!
Thank you alot for this video and the one about "5 uncommon fixes 4 fps issues" these 2 videos fixed my screen tearing and now i can play properly, thank you alot :)^^
are your graphics all set to the lowest setting? i had everything on high and after setting it on low i went from 40 fps average to 100 fps average, and it does make a big difference in how the game feels.
Try lowering your resolution, put everything on low, and try a 4:3 stretched (or non-stretched, whichever you like better) resolution. Lowering your resolution, or lowering your resolution and swapping to a 4:3 one, especially, will raise your frames the most significantly and easily. Try using the startup command -lv, it helps bad computers get a sizable FPS boost, if your computer is having difficulties with the ragdoll physics in GO. It turns on low-violence mode, so people will look weird when they die, but some get 50 FPS+ boosts from it.
Do you have any tips to fix fps drop when I get close to the smoke? Normally I have around 300 fps but when I get close to the smoke it drops to about 100 :/
AppieHD I have a problem with CSGO whenever i play Casual Deathmatch or playing with bots or playing Competetive on on ESEA or Faceit i don't lag i have around 70 - 120 Fps but whenever i play normal Matchmaking (Competetive) on CSGO i drop to 12 - 50 any help?
Make sure you have optimal cooling, as this makes each core work harder, resulting in higher temperatures. Also, CPU stuttering issues have been resolved in windows 8 in many games. CSGO, BF3, BF4, MW3, these are some games that were affected in windows 7. I suggest if you like gaming over a large variety of games, and if you have 4 cores or more, go windows 8.
Amazing!Wonderful!i tried to play a game that requires 2.4Ghz cpu on a 2.16 Ghz laptop. Significant changes in the gameplay. Higher fps. Increased playability throughout the game. Totally recommended.
Tip: Control Panel/Appearance and Customization/Adjust Screen Resolution Click on advanced settings and go to "Monitor". Now, under monitor settings, there should be "Screen Refresh Rate" Set this to the highest value. Enjoy!
one day i was playing battlefield 4. i was in a jet and stupid little me decided to fly directly above the enemy base. i flew up to try to avoid being shot by the aa gun. obviously it killed me and all of my frames just died that moment. it wasnt a lag spike, i was getting a maximum of 20 fps on all servers maps etc. i found this cool little system uniquely named "unpark cpu app." i unparked my cpus and i could run it smoothly again. basically what unparking your cpus does, is it allows the game to access what it needs quickly and efficiently
first of all witcher 2 is terribly optimized, my PC runs witcher 3 on max graphics but struggles to run witcher 2. Secondly $500 is very cheap for a PC and would get you a low-mid range pc at best.
Man I absolutely have to know what theme you are using! Your window title bars and color scheme are freaking awesome looking. Please share what you are using to pimp out your visuals bro :]
+Shrike12 Nope. You want as much as possible when playing to reduce input lag. If you have 300 FPS it will take the latest image and process it to the screen and be more up to date than 120 FPS. The more, the better!
+Shrike12 I play with 120 fps and when I go to my friend 350-400 fps I am a god... He has worst monitor than me tho... It's not about the reflesh rate of your monitor

Barack Obama Because I like everything to look smooth on max resolution + anti-aliasing and max texture. Remove the bloom and those kind of effects and it's perfect imo
when the cpus are made, the manufacture parks some cores incase that one of the main cores fail, if they fail the parked ones will take over. if you unpark all the cores you will have better performance but when one core dies there will be no core to take it's place.
the unparking doesnt necessarily improve fps that much, because my cpu is the bottleneck of my pc anyways, but it stops the stuttering and fps drops/spikes. i already set my fps to an uneven max i always reach when opening any map in competitive but it made gameplay even smoother! thank you so much! can't imagine how it would feel with a 144hz monitor and gsync :0
by the default, laptop power options is set to Balanced (recommended). but if you set it to High performance option.. that will unlock all your cpu (unpark)
Ty!! So far it made my pc run smoother and faster and hopefully it helps my csgo get more fps!! I do have a low end computer though barley push 100 fps so we will see!!
I have a question, I have a A8-6500 quad core, (QUAD-4) and when i look in task manager it shows 2 cores, 4 logical processors, also when i look at msconfig, boot, shows I have 3 choices instead of 4? Also when I check resource monitor, it shows CPU 0, CPU 1 CPU 2 CPU 3? What's up ? is a processor blew out? are all 4 cores working? is something wrong? It's a 3.5gz processor, and in task im getting 3.78GHz currently.
So I have a tip for you guys. When you make it use the whole CPU (100%) it will be overheating when playing for long time periods, so putting it on like 50%-60% will be perfect. I am on a laptop
Guys I have a problem : First time I opened the program and press the chech status it showed 2 cores i said to my self "But I have 4 cores".Then I pressed Unpark all and it started to unparking when it finished i saw it showes 4 cores 2 of them unparked 2 of them didn't i pressed unpark all again again again but it didn't i checked the regedit ValueMax showes 64 What Should I DO PLEASE HELP Maxim , guys please help m

i cant find the 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 in my regedit wtf? All it says after i search for the code is registry editor has finished searching the registry. wtf is going on
Quick question. Does changing the power plan to 'High Performance' not also do the same thing, ie. unpark the cores ? I have two shortcuts on my desktop, one for the 'High Performance' plan and one for the 'Balanced' plan. I only need the unparking when gaming. Any feedback appreciated
Hey, Ive done it exactly how you explain it unpark the cores and check that the value is 0 (which it is) however when i restart my laptop the cores are still parked but the values are still 0. Any idea what could be the problem?
when searching the key, i see highrange and low range, low range shwos (0) highrange shows (4294967....) should i change it to (0) what does that number mean? does it mean it isn't unparked? (EDIT) Note: After doing this, I overclocked my CPU, increased voltage a bit and set my Voltage Output to Adaptive mode. Figured out that my issue was "Offset mode" it limited my CPU speed.
Hey @BananaGaming I hope you respond to this. So I have an AMD A10-5800K (Quad-core processor). When I go to task manager, it says that there are only 2 cores, and 4 logical cores. So I went ahead and checked my cores and it says that Cores 0 & 3 are parked for like 2 seconds, then unparked.. Anyways, I went to download the program you and when I clicked Check Status, it only showed Cores 0 & 1 and they are unparked, but it doesn't show the parked Cores 2 & 3
Hi Banana, so apparently, I have four cores. Cores 0, 1, 2 and 3. I unparked the 0 and 1 cores but when I clicked check status, core 2 and 3 are not showing up and they are still park, so are there anyway that i can fix that? thanks
Hello there, could anyone possibly assist me? I run the program, press on "check status" and then it says "Unpark cpu has stopped working". I've reinstalled the program more than i can count, please someone help me
I noticed that this made slight differences playing other games. However in CS:GO it only fixes a couple small stuttering issues that I have been having, especially when I'm in a duel against another player. Hope it works good for you!
PS: Unparking won't damage or degrade your CPU in any way. Maybe it will increase the temperature but it will not damage your system.
thanks
also, if you have a cooler that is not very good, then it might overheat your cpu.
lalandleah Unparking won't damage or degrade your CPU in any way possible. Don't worry about that.
What about max TDP, will it increase? My power suply isn`t so good, so I had to ask. Maybe it is stupid question but i had to ask.
how can i uninstall it^^? (if something dont work)
Really appreciate how straight forward and clear this video was, you actually don't understand how nice it feels to watch a good tutorial

That's a weak gpu issue, not something with the game.

You need to only check "keys" when you search on 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583
Trying to figure out how to make my gameplay more SMOODER like you said. Not any luck so far.
Any idea why my Resource Monitor would show one of my CPU's as 'Parked', yet it's at almost 100% utilization?
OMG very thank u banana from 30fps to 60fps i love u :D
My thing is just stuck at 'Searching regitry...'. It doesn't seem to be doing anything, anyway to fix it?

So I have a tip for you guys.
When you make it use the whole CPU (100%) it will be overheating when playing for long time periods, so putting it on like 50%-60% will be perfect. I am on a laptop
Rodiscumbag what do you mean 50-60
?
50-60 CPU usage but when I made higher % CPU usage my laptop fucked up and I had to change it
my cpu usage maximum is 15
I had to go replace my laptop with new.
I wont make it more than 15% anymore
***** i got a cooler for my laptop but it was still shutting down. i wont use this program anymore

Did all the steps correectly, the registry changed both max and min to 0, then went into the CPU resource monitor and still 2 cores were parked...
weird I use the first option with the program it seemed to only pull up 2 cores. When I know I got 4 cores in use.
jag har bara en fil som heter standard och en som heter attributes på den koden? vad äre för fel?
Thx dude, i was considering to buy a new computer god bless you! ^^ 20 fps to 60 fps
It helped alot for me (using a pretty old pc) thanks alot :D
I've gained 10 FPS in CS:GO ( Core i7 920 @ stock speed ), Thanks!
In my pc value max is set to 64 should I change it to 0 ?? Please help somebody
mine didn't even find results with the key ... can you paste your registry path for me so i can paste it?
Hey,
Ive done it exactly how you explain it unpark the cores and check that the value is 0 (which it is) however when i restart my laptop the cores are still parked but the values are still 0.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Maxim the values are still on 0-1-2 when i re check after 2 weeks :( what can i do ?
A slice of tasty cheese should do the trick
And mayonnaise
Found two parked cores. It takes a good while to search that long string in regitry though. Any idea what may be wrong?
when searching the key, i see highrange and low range, low range shwos (0) highrange shows (4294967....) should i change it to (0) what does that number mean? does it mean it isn't unparked?
(EDIT) Note: After doing this, I overclocked my CPU, increased voltage a bit and set my Voltage Output to Adaptive mode. Figured out that my issue was "Offset mode" it limited my CPU speed.
same with me, im stuck on this part
search 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 but only leave "keys" checked. uncheck everything else.
+vek n Sorry type, "it says that cores 2 & 3 are parked"
Hi Banana, so apparently, I have four cores. Cores 0, 1, 2 and 3. I unparked the 0 and 1 cores but when I clicked check status, core 2 and 3 are not showing up and they are still park, so are there anyway that i can fix that? thanks
Hello there, could anyone possibly assist me? I run the program, press on "check status" and then it says "Unpark cpu has stopped working". I've reinstalled the program more than i can count, please someone help me
Same, when I restart my pc it shows unparked, but the cpu cores is same..
