Recology Sonoma Marin: Labrie Automizer Garbage Truck with a Growl

- Around the time when Recology had just taken over the North Bay Corporation/The Ratto Group, I got to take a trip with Alan and Bryn to poke around in the area and see what we could find. This truck was the first thing we found (and filmed that day). The operating style of the driver was.... interesting. But it made for an interesting video. This truck had a little growl to it, which made it somewhat unique among the many of these trucks running (at the time).

Interesting way of operating the truck. Probably his way of leaving the lids shut.
Yeah, I am not really sure why he did it that way but it was interesting to say the least.
California Refuse Trucks Glad my company doesn’t have a lid flipping rule, I can leave them open if I want.
@@Marvo817 Should close them anyway, good customer service. Those old labries had no in between when it comes out of the hopper it's one speed, definitely doing it this way to make sure the lids are closed.
@@Garbagemangamingofnewyork Nope, I leave them open and we are encouraged to leave them open that way people know we came. If it’s snowing or raining hard I get leaving them shut, but it’s stupid when companies force employees to leave them shut when it’s a sunny day.
Nice video Colby! Man that’s a nice truck to wake up too ha ha. Arms a little squeaky, but I guess that’s becoming more common with the NBD Automizers. Also really enjoyed the drivers operation style. Nice work!

Ah yes, gotta love the sweet growl of a truck like this one. I'm telling you, those growls never get old! Wish the driver was much heavier on the throttle. I hope this truck still runs. I'd like to go and film it myself sometime. Which yard does it run out of, the Novato yard or Petaluma yard?

Wow that truck is old, gotta be before 2008 or so no DEF. Those older petes had a lot of power too, they all ride like a boat.
