Congrats.. This is probably the most underrated remix of a homestuck song…ever. So many motifs, beautiful melody variations, surprises around ever corner. Everything from the instrument choice to the mixing was absolutely phenomenal, triggering an emotional response from me unlike ANY other remix out there currently. Hello again, Whimsi! After doing a LOT more listening to the Homestuck soundtrack, I have made a discovery about the melody in question! I believe that the tune we discussed, both present in Tribal Ebonpyre and, very faintly, Descend is actually the brass riff from EARTHSEA BOREALIS, but syncopated to the rhythm of Sburban Jungle! What do you think about that? Once again, thanks for the fantastic remix!
i think that would be neat, but Earthsea Borealis was released a while after Sburban Jungle, Descend, AND Tribal Ebonpyre. it's just a pretty direct quote from the opening of sburban jungle
