There are quite a few things that Philippinos are doing it wrong. Firstly a country can't claim EEZ if an area is in dispute. Secondly even in EEZ you can't stop FON, Thirdly in open sea the vessel on the left must always give way to the vessel on its right. 35:05 mark clearly showed which vessel is on the right and which one is on the left.
China is non-aggressive and friendly. Philippines should not be a puppet of the USA and intrude to the South China Sea in the first place. Chinese coast guards have to take the defense according to the laws of the People's Republic of CHINA.
