As a European I was so confused. You put a coin in to get the cart and then you get it back when you're done, that's how every store does it. 😂
What is the purpose of this? A supermarket cart costs more than a quarter of a dollar anyway.

I really like Aldi's cart return idea. It keeps the parking lot clear and stops random carts from rolling into your car.
Wish more places did that.. There used to be a grocery store that did it when I was younger but for some reason they stopped, I don't really know why.

@@kriskiritsugo535 Since most people don't really use coins anymore, but still have wallets, it's pretty common for people to carry the same bunch of coins around for years. As such, most people have a quarter (or other local small currency) on them whenever they go outside.

Aldi has fantastic prices and very good food selections. Even their Burman's Mayonnaise is super close to Hellman's flavor. And paying for the cart is part of what keeps costs down. You get the quarter back when you return the cart to the right spot 😉

You don’t “pay” for a cart at Aldi. You use a quarter to unlock the cart and then when you put the cart back you get your quarter back.
Technically you are since they don’t have to pay people to go and retrieve carts around the parking lot all day 🤷🏼♂️

You have to make French toast sticks in an air fryer or oven, then they have a more churro like consistency and taste better all around because it semi caramelizes the sugar.

You don't technically pay for the cart at Aldi, Link! You get your quarter back when you return it to the correct spot so it's basically just there to ensure people don't leave their carts in the middle of the parking lot like at every other grocery store.
These are definitely my favorite series on GMM. I can't get enough of it!

It really bugs me when they don’t wear blindfolds for every round. It’s so apparent in the cinnamon roll round, they entirely used sight to determine and they were right. I don’t get why they only use blindfolds for one round.
well atleast in that round they should as well. Blindfolds in rounds were are distinct visual differences

As someone who used to eat french toast sticks all the time I am baffled that 1. Rhett and Link never had them before, and 2. that the crew decided to cook them in the microwave instead of the oven; that's sacrilege. You want them a little bit toasted, which you'll never get in a microwave.

The problem with aldi French toast sticks is that they give you more ends than centers of the bread pieces which don't always cook right in the microwave
They are so good from the air fryer
That's why I cook mine in the oven. I like my french toast sticks to be crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside.

Good to see that the Aldi French Toast sticks got validated today. They are good, but do NOT get the Cinnamon ones, they are WAY too overpowering.

I also like my waffles to be cripsy. It is difficult to get them right in the waffle maker I have, so I toast mine after it gets made.
I love how they are working in the "time travel" bit they did in to the videos. Sometimes in very obvious ways, but the little ones like in this vid are great.

We just got an Aldi close to where I live, and I like it. However, their products can be hit or miss. I find that they are either really good, or really bad, not much in-between.
Also, you don’t buy a cart at Aldi, you RENT a cart at Aldi. 🙂 You get your quarter back after you return it.
If anything they make you pay for a bag. But we're still good, because Aldi lets you bring your own bag!
