I'd rather have Daytona USA 2 (Battle on the Edge and Power Edition) at home on consoles. Isn't *19 years* in arcades long enough? The only alternative to owning the Model 3 arcade machines is Supermodel emulation on PC, and that's not what I'm looking for.
The H-shift breaks the game in my opinion. It's not that I cannot do a 4-2-4 in fact I can do it in reverse how about that. I don't think it's the original meaning of the game, or what the original AM2 team wanted people to play it that way. Actually it's more like a glitch. I quit winning since long time ago. Winning is boring. Honestly Automatic Transmission is more fun to play, also more fair in some way. It doesn't bother me without the original H-shift gear.
Hard to believe since every curve on any track need different gears. Even the Sega Saturn port allowed to jump through gears to use that shifting mechanic. Glitch or not, to me thats what the game/gameplay is about. After all those years its still very challenging and a skillful thing to do...
I know we are not going to get an AM2 game in 2017, but why didn't they get Sumo Digital to develop this who did a great job on Outrun 2 and Sega Allstars racing? This looks like a mobile game, and by all accounts plays like one too. The graphics are way behind even Daytona 2 which was released 20 years ago. Just sad to see.
Why do so many people think this looks like a mobile game? I've played mobile games, and they don't look nearly this good (Nintendo Switch doesn't count in this case). This looks more like an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 game, and the games on those consoles look really good even today.

I really hope it gets some digital download release like Daytona USA did for PS3 and 360.

Automatic transmission is very boring and awful in my opinion. Instead the manual transmission gives you more challenge

metro city final fight?
GALLOOOOOPPP UHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
So far i think i'm the only man on the planet that beat Championship mode and got all gold.
I'd love this on ps4 but I'd actually rather have Sega doing well in the arcades. I'm sure if Sega thinks it would be profitable they would port it.
