Thanks for the review, Greg. 🙌 We think that your comments are absolutely correct. 😁You confirm what we had in mind when designing the wing. Happy landings to you and the community
Received my Ion^7 at the beginning of May , coming from the little cloud GT24 , After just a few flights I can tell taht the ION 7 is easy to fly, thermalling seems to go very easy and feels very secure, it gives a very good communication over the brakes about what is happening in the air. I can confirm what Greg mentions about the weighshifting and braking inputs. Thermalling might go easier with a half wrap (more ergonomic).
Hi Greg, great informative review and great content as always. Have you any plans on doing a similar review on the Ozone BuzzZ7 for comparison. I’m torn between the two. Thanks again for all your great videos
Hi Greg, this wing looks like exactly what im after, curious what you think the differences are between 6 and 7? I like a bit more chill in my wing as im a safety conscious flyer and I can get an Ion 6 new for about 500 euro less.
There is no safety when paraglider close with less than 30meters. Tests are conducted in good aerology at high altitude .want be 100% safe? Stay at home. Ion would be my choice. It s a F16.nice video!
Thanks for your great reviews Greg. I saw the wing in April in Meduno, where it caught my interest. I am flying a Tequila 4 which except for flying in rough air I love for its agility and feedback. Will the Ion 7 feel a bit dull compared to the T4?
Hi mr greg successful paragliding pilot ,i had this question since i am watching your videos , why don't you join red bull alps while you're a very good pilot and hiking expert i think. Love your videos 😊
the risk level is too high for me. pilots push themselves to fly in unsafe ways, because the competition keeps running, and the winning moves are made in the bad conditions, or with insane 'no options' transitions. on the good days, everyone flies far, because they are all good pilots. X-pyr is as far as I am prepared to go. It has a grassroots/informal feeling about it (or at least, near the back where I participate :-) if results matter you can be lured into some crazy situations. I enjoy the experiment of 'how far can you get without taking risks' but this can be a gruelling physical path to follow in a race environment.
Try it! It was surprising to me, but the GPS doesn't lie. Sure there's a bit of interference in this kind of testing from variations in the base wind, but it is FAST.
Nova was already here when I started to fly paraglider in 1990 . I think it s a good brand with good profile. you can not go wrong with them. I would buy the ion7 .
@@HELLOPATTAYA I'm in the market for a B-wing and was about to pull the trigger on a Swing Arcus 2 RS but now after watching this review and trusting Hamerton's expertise I'll test fly the Ion7 and might get it instead.
yes really, it's quite surprising for a low B, go and test it yourself! I don't charge anything to manufacturers and don't sell gear so there's zero 'commercial' angle here. I don't care which wing sells, I'm just interested in how they fly.
Thanks for the review, Greg. 🙌

Great work Greg.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks a lot for this video Greg! Can't wait to get my demo wing 😃👍
Cool beans, G! Best, Rob ^^
i wonder for a light pilot if there is a lot of difference in speed and flying skills compared to the symphonia of phi?
How would you compare the Ion to the Epsilon DLS?
I’d love to know this as well, or compared to a Phi Beat light?
Me too?
i don't understand , how did you attached the speed wires? ..didn't see those two metallic pieces put together...

Which is the best EN B paraglider? Safety is my priority
Skywalk tequila5 is very calm low B wing (don't mess it with tequila4! That was quite agile)

What about the price for nova ion 7 ??
Vladimir Svorcan, a friend sells one Ion 7 for 3000 euro.
@@airgaborpara3824can you share the Adresse of your friend. Ion 7 Size M would be great
How does it compare to the Nova ION 7?
You mean 6?
If you compare the Ion 7 with Ion 7, you will find no differences. :-)
Vs vivo and arak?
Forget Vivo , shaky wing behind other wings vortex. It was very very strange feeling during my test.
@@airgaborpara3824 I'm already flying Vivo :) but I don't psend my time in people's wakes
Shorter lines?? Is Nova going towards little cloud... 😁
17km/ h extra????? Is that not too much. A n Advance Oxa ULS does extra 20km speed gain by full bar.
isn't oxa a D ?
@@PhilippeLarcher Yes Advance Oxa ULS is a D. So the big question how de heck a low B Ion 7 can gain extra 17km /h by pushing full bar.
Try it! It was surprising to me, but the GPS doesn't lie. Sure there's a bit of interference in this kind of testing from variations in the base wind, but it is FAST.
yes but the OXA has better glide at that speed, and yes, it's not a lot faster than the ION. To get proper speed you need a Boomerang!
Sorry, I have an ION 5. My bad!
After this review the wing will sell a lot.
if that's true, lucky for Nova, but it's because they designed a good wing not because i made a video about it

17+ really? Sorry to say that but this movie looks like commercial based on poor script.
