    What a funny test: Well known place & well known faces, a friend of mine has it and is really pleased with the wing. Thank you very much Greg for this jolly little test 🤩😆😊

    one of the most descriptive and informative reviews of a glider. got a real sense of what it would be like to be sitting under this wing. very encouraging for a early career pilot to see why there is no reason to jump up a rating to get better performance. I imagine very few pilots under 500 hours would out perform you on this wing even if they were flying an en-c.

    Just bought one so very useful review, Tony summed me up 60 and wanted a safe recreational glider! Perfect...

    I've been at the festival as well, tested the Aonic light and the Ion 7. What i noticed is that i could concentrate on different things, flying the Aonic (looking for thermals and stuff). That wing flies more or less itself :)
    I also felt more confident with the Aonic and got up to cloudbase in no time (2400 m at the beginning of march, before noon 😮), for sure faster than some of the higher classified wings. 😊
    To get a read on my experiences: Flying since June 2022, having around 50 flights. I can recommend this wing as a stressless no brainer.

      yes but I wouldn't have been able to fit the lightness into the easyjet small cabin bag! That's all I took to the stubaicup :-)

    just picked a used one of these up as a beater for an SIV. Looks like a fun but safe wing! I wonder how it'd react with added tipsteer.

    Hi Greg, thanks for yet another interesting and fun to watch film. A question: you're testing a A(+) glider and using a pod. I'm under the impression people flying A-gliders probably won't be flying in a pod. How would the pod affect your analysis of the glider, also considering the target group of the glider?

      @FlyWithGreg  Год назад +4

      yes I flew the ION, the review will come out in a few days! As Toni Bender says, if you will be aiming to do lots of XC, go for the ION!

    I've heard, that you don't need to touch the breaks of the aonic at all, including start and landings... BUT you can't fly against the wind at all with it.

    Greg, are you going to test the Swing Miura RS, it is both an en-a wing and an EN-B wing.? Greg, there are many people from Yugoslavia following you. Please include a Serbian, Montenegrin, Bosnian or Croatian translation, any of these four.Thanks ,Friend.

    When you state your takeoff weight is it your weight plus 20kg or is it the exact weight? I'm having troubles with the sizing of my upcoming wing. With my exact takeoff weight im 2kg under the limit. With my weight plus 20kg as learned in school im 2kg over the limit and if i go to the next size ill be at the very beginning of the low end. Which sux

      Usually just follow what circle other pilots are already in, unless it is really bad one then you can look for places to overtake.

    • @MarkvanEs

      True, but sometimes they fly very ‘big’ circles
