they exist on longer planes haha, my dad is a pilot on the A340-600. the plane is so long you can’t see the wings from the cockpit, so they have cameras that show every angle of the plane. in this case the pilot just wasn’t experienced or wasn’t paying attention. at least nobody got hurt.
As airplane accidents go, this is minor, but it is important that it be investigated to determine whether existing safety procedures are inadequate or whether the proper procedures weren't followed. It's not about looking for someone to punish, it's about preventing this from happening in the future.
Interestingly. Companies don't like to fire people for incidents on the apron so as to avoid a culture of not reporting. Most likely the individual will be taken off their duties for re training with a warning on their records.

Not the pilots fault, pilots have to follow taxi lines and shouldn’t move off of them, there wasn’t supposed to be a plane there. It’s ATC’s fault for not having the Airbus move up a bit, it was way too far out, the wing shouldn’t even cone close to it.
