Dear Brother Raif, any thoughts on the CRISPR gene-editing therapy exa-cel for sickle cell disease, with an approval decision due by Dec. 8? This is going to make history, hopefully HIV will come next. Dec 8, mark this date on your calendars, guys!

13:28 Really sad for our HIV+ Brothers in Ukraine. You have to maintain regular treatment, disruption will lead to drug resistance.

Great info, as always. It seems that ViiV Healthcare is working on a new self-injectable treatment, applied every two months.

      Yes. Period.
People who are undetectable are untransmissible. Your baby may need to be on meds for a few months post birth, just in case of random viruses trying to break through, and you *will* be passing on your meds through your milk, as well as potentially random viral particles, if you are breastfeeding, but that is fine. Verify this with your doc. Google it. But breathe and relax. You are going to be okay, and you CAN have a family, entirely unaffected.

But. Y'all never wanted to say this the viral load in the blood is the only thing that drops! As long as nobody's trying to cure anything, there will still be tons of latent HIV virus inside your liver and other organs. To me this is a form of medical misrepresentation of what is really going on with this treatment plan. I don't like it because it's false information about what really can happen with your body over a period of time. Art does not stop opportunistic, stop the fact that you might need liver transplant or kidney dialysis.
