- In this Myanmar food vlog I'm exploring the city of Yangon and trying loads of different street food. Food in Myanmar / Burmese food is tasty, cheap and varied and the street food in Yangon is a great way to learn about the cuisine.
I loved trying to the street food in Myanmar as every lane is filled with vendors selling tasty fried snacks, I visited Yangon fish market and the Yangon night markets too. This is a guide for finding top street food in Yangon and Myanmar and tips as to what to eat when you're exploring Yangon.

@@dim2348 😂😂 may be. But not to all of white skins. Ont to the people who are nice and warm. As you know most of the black men here arrived in Myanmar are only warm to themselves, i mean their group. I think this is nothing about color discrimination and racism. 😁 just a friendly explanation 🤗

HI Alex - what a beautifully made video. You've got us hungry !! Love trying street foods and so nice to see you trying everything. I'm sure I spotted a large rate running along the wall when you were eating the 'spring roll'. We can appreciated the fish market - we visited on in Semporna in Borneo and definitely not a tourist destination LOL . I can remember the smell in the heat - really quite an experience LOL. You found amazing food there Alex. I loved the jelly, looks like a piece of shark 😅. The smells there must be delicious in those markets. I have no doubt that there is an increidble variety of delicious food. Everything looks so crispy, crunchy, sweet and tasty 😍

That's spring role same like in Vietnam Thailand and in Lao .. but the speciality is FRIED .. and the ingredient inside might be different a bit .. means different vegetable inside

The popiah you had ate is spring roll, yes is spring roll same like the Chinese spring roll.
FYI, it is spring roll which is developed from Chinese. To be exact, it is Yunnan style.
I am myanmar in yangon
The side soup you'll find in most noodle shops or restaurants is called "Hinn Gar", which kinda translates to "Plain/Raw Soup" in english. Cuz the ingredients are simple, either its cooked with chicken broth and msg or vegetarian version, topped with pepper, spring onions, sometimes soft fragrant leaves. But there is also a secret ingredient, *which i dont know a name of* that makes the soup have a slight kick of heat without having to add chillis.
I dont think it helps digestion, i think it is used as a drink to push your food down in place water. Plus it is steamy hot and has a nice taste, that's why it's widely served

There are way more ingredients to make it and chili powder, garlic etc. are used that could give some heat though

The boy was looking at you cuz in Myanmar no one eat in back alley. Those back alleys are cleaned and transformed into tourist attraction places but still you know 😅 Anyway I really love the colour combination of this video 💕 Really a beautiful video :)
