Well done! Thanks for great review and for passing us your experience! Just after this review I will try to find the distributer and go for one combo. Thanks again and all the best!🙂
I can’t believe the negative comments about video quality, check the competition, it doesn’t come close for the price, if you want better quality buy the more expensive model.
I know, right? I mean I know there’s this HoverAir loyalty - but this is a fun product. It’s not a pro drone. But it’s great and has surprisingly good video and features. I hope they bring some of the settings adjustments to the DJI Fly app
I is a first Beginne Drohne for training and short videos and indoor flight. For professional use the higher Model. But the fat start. Start the controller take awy the camera protektion and start. 2 Minutes. That’s the advantage.
@@SJMDronesMedia right on, for this price, they want a 500 and up , But there is no way, by the way I love this NEO, and nothing Will change the cons the people are saying about, love My 200 dollars Spend with this TOY
I just mine today. It's my first drone and I'm very happy with the price and quality. I've always wanted something like this. Easy to use and able to use without remote.
Really helpful video!! I like how positive you are about the drone and even with its short comings you've found a way to offer advice. Other creators slammed the drone for video quality and other things but for the price I think its more than good enough for what will be my first ever drone. I think the oversharpening and contrast/saturation its aimed at social media and viewing on small screens where people aren't really going to appreciate manual controls and post processing too much.
It's funny that about 3 years ago, I brought the DJI Ryze Tello drone for about the same money as this Neo. But wow, what a huge difference in what you get for the same money! Yeah, I agree this drone is just so amazing for what you get for its price!
Glad you received yours, I managed to get one as well (Drone alone) as I aready have the RC2 with my Mini 4 Pro, do it's a double-joy now. Honestly, I bought it as a stand alone selfie drone, but I'm amazed at how it got the basic things done almost like the Mini 4 Pro, especially when you need a small-flying-camera for a snap from an altitude, like a real estate photography. Next year will waiting for the Neo 2 / Pro version 😊🤞
Great NEO video. Looks like a very fun drone!! The battery lasted a long time for such a little drone!! In the states I am still waiting for mine to come. 😀🐈⬛🐾🐝👍
Bought one today but sadly wired and wireless, it's ( the app ) is telling me network connection required when trying to update the latest firmware. Fantastic video and sold me one on this alone. Hoping I can figure this out and many thanks again on such a great video. Subbed !
I just got mine today, and your video helped me understand it more! Thanks for your review! Could you please let me know where the location is? I live in Auckland, and I’d love to visit the place. IT LOOKS STUNNING!
The fly more package cost 349€; If you are buying the included components without Controller you are over 300€. So take the fly more package fur fun. I have Mini 4 pro and the compatible RC 2 Controller, it is great.
@@TheTechPacker With controller you have 70% more advantages and fun. My main reason was, I have the compatible RC 2 Controller, so I have a lot of other Funktions. Fist the maximale distance, find me. Camera options. But not the funktions like in the App. But it can be possible and a have not find it. This is a drone with two different faces, if you use the App or the controller.
A very nice, informative video. I have one ordered but it has not been released here in Texas yet... I started with toy drones back in 2015 (Sima 5 & Tarantula) one of the Sima's was lost for a year until the neighbor found it in one of his trees... I have also built 3 racing drones (loosing the first one the first time I tried to fly it with a VR goggles... since then I have built 2 more plus buying cheap knock-off's. Last November I purchased a Potensic Atom and it flies quite well. I got it instead of the DJI because of the political rumblings about banning DJI... I am also working on getting my "Part 107 license" ... Too many regulations!!!
It's interesting that the captured audio not only eliminated the sound of the drone, but also the ocean waves, the car, and the seagull. In such a scenario I'd want to record a separate audio clip of the waves and edit it back in with my voice to give an authentic sense of presence. That's more work than a quick fly-and-capture sequence, and something to keep in mind when filming and speaking to the camera while in an environment with natural (and desirable) background noises.
Not sure if anyone addressed "Spotlight mode" - it CAN sit in one place and work like that, but for DJI, "Spotlight" is where you visually select a subject (draw a box) - the camera and drone work to keep the subject center frame as you (pilot) fly around it.
Fun and educational vid and the 3d case a bonus! Will take it to Iceland however it is usually too winding for me to even fly my mini pro 3 there 😂 but this will do super here in Florida 👍 But not releasing here until Oct 8😢 Cheers!
I’m not yet convinced about the neo, first because of the noise it makes, I have some problems with high pitched noises 😂 and the fact that you need yet another controller to adjust the settings… and furthermore the max take off altitude is 2000m and living in Switzerland that could be a problem…
Yes it’s whiny. The rotors are short so it’s high pitched. But it wasn’t as annoying as I thought it would be. On the other hand, fast deployment and return means filming time is actually pretty short - so less fly time. But yes, understand that there are places where it would not be appropriate, of course
And the wind. I you she with controller for training and indoor. I have Mini 4 pro also I have the compatible RC2 controller with display. I have fun for use a a FPV drone.
Awesome video and great to see one from NZ! With the audio recording on phone mic, do we know if it would work with any ext mic plugged in ( eg RODE) or does it have to be the DJI Mic 2?
What I've noticed is it doesn't keep things in the centre of the frame. A bit awkward for my vertical social media, but I suppose I can shift it in post
Very similar review to mine I did on my channel. Apparently you have to stand still for over 3 seconds for it to palm land. Stand still. I did same as you, move about and doesn't think you want it to land. Was interested you mention it connects to dji mic. How? Thx
I'll be honest, I'm an Aussie so I've had a fair few drinks...was the drone using AI to work out how to land on your hand? And to keep you centre of video? Or using the remote to know where to "look"?
From what I learned (I’m in the States so don’t have mine yet), there is a lot of new AI technology in it. I’ve watched a lot of follow or track videos where it follows through some treacherous areas with twigs and branches, and despite having ZERO obstacle avoidance, it doesn’t crash into those twigs and branches. That is some advanced AI. So to answer your question, probably yes.
This drone is on my Christmas list. I’m very excited. I’ve never had a drone before and I have zero drone flying experience. I just want something simple and relatively inexpensive, durable and fun. I think this looks amazing for the price and is a perfect beginner drone. Does the footage look perfect? No. But the fact that we can now get a reasonably priced drone that works this well and doesn’t require anything but the drone itself (and lands in your palm!) is amazing. They’re going to sell a lot of these little things. I don’t understand the people who are bashing it. It’s so tiny and cool! Great review!
The "normal" profile it comes with is very contrasty... But... It can be improved quite a lot if you want it to be better, simply by pulling up the midtones in post. I'm making a video at the moment but it can be rescued if it's something you want to bother with. One warning: avoid gusty winds... It will get taken by a strong gust in a heartbeat!

Agree with the reply - yes, on the DJI Fly app you can see it acquire the subject and then seek to track it
I’ve also seen a video where it bounces off a tree, looks around and then finds the subject again and continues to follow
